First and foremost I'm speaking generally and not tagging people as if I'm directed any one part of this at you. Your tag is simply about letting you know you can tag or inform me when people are purposely ****-stirring as you are folks who seem concerned.

Hi all whom I've tagged and whoever else this concerns. I cant read every thread, and same goes with the reported posts. The Mods try to do their utmost best at staying fair and impartial and very few mods have ban capabilities as we don't want a banning to just be held by one person (some select people do). I'm not aware of the complaints that all parties of this have been experiencing. We always first try to "break things up" so to speak to appease both sides (if that can work) or we always offer the ability/reminder that people can block other users and never see their posts again. I get the sentiment of that many just dont want to put anyone on an ignore list ... well just keep that in mind when you 1) say you never see eye to eye with that person and that the staff should do something about it. Because you do have the ability to block that so called person you dont see eye to eye with (and thus your experience here can be more pleasant.) it's obviously more work on our end trying to appease you. #justsayin

But looking past that ..... we do have the ability to ban someone from just a thread. So if someone is truly just in a thread to stir up **** for everyone then please contact me directly or tag/alert me etc and I will look into it personally. If it is definitive and not just sharing opinion then I'll ban them from that thread. And in some cases I will try to make good judgment calls based on a person's buying habits as I know many are saying/claiming that some will try to be opinionated to skirt the system and are really still just trolling. Again, I'll look into it when I get the time when i'm alerted. Some days tho this is not daily due to my job. fyi. #justsayin

No matter what tho as a community we should all try better not to just go in and blatant rip on a release cause you feel its the fun thing to do. Cause this is where we end up. I've seen the bashing of releases in the econo-uk threads for years now and we see the drip feed like bashing on certain premiums based on who are fans of what. And some folks bash with hidden agendas or intentions ... its a wild world this is. ha.

There are also people who like to stir the pot to try and challenge to see what HDN will do and try to cast HDN in a bad light. We're all adults here and if we were to go on a trigger happy banning of all the people who are more often negative nellies then it'd be a pretty sad day. Studios and retailers have made comments to me in the past about our boisterous bunch. So realize when I say this its not me pointing the finger these are things I've heard over the years and observations I see as well.

We dont have to discuss this further. Simply put please alert me when some one is super trolling and I'll investigate.

lastly no one should take offence to this as I'm going into this with an open mind and clear slate so I'm only repeating things I've heard above and not saying or quoting them as truth.

No email to customers to say the product has been cancelled & refunds will be processed shortly.

No post on here to say the product has been cancelled.

A message on Facebook, in German, to say its been cancelled, which could have easily been missed by people. (I missed it & only found out about the cancellation after coming on here.)

I get its a small company, but as has been said before, a little communication goes a long way. Even a courtesy email sent out to all purchasers that the product has been cancelled & will be refunded would have been nice.

Def. kinda crazy the shop is not available. Maybe multiple listings need to be edited or pulled so they hit that button as a quick turn off for now. We have that option with our store. So hope that gets rectified soon, but it may just be normal work going down in back end.... guess depends how long it will be down.

I trust them to get everything sorted in the next few days. The owner is a standup guy from my experience with him.
 
Its a terrible business environment in the Blu-ray world. I expect it to get much worse and seeing prices at retail keep on going up is going to be a burden for them. The Studios are pushing digital really hard and people are actually buying it. Oh well.

Hmm, as someone who ordered direct I thought it was weird when I saw refund on my PayPal account. I'm sure all of you will get your money back too.

I'm just a bit disappointed that this Steelbook is not happening. And it seems the company is suspending the store? What is going on?

1 - Do you currently own any premium steel? A premium steel is defined as an exclusive or manta global/nova choice/Blufans OAB etc (not TW steels)?
2 - Have you ever owned a premium steel?
Don't take these questions the wrong way, I would like to know what level of critism and angle directed to premium steels come from. I have noticed that you have expressed quite a few negative comments on premium steels, not like that it bothers me at all so interesting to know if you could answer those two questions.

In the interest of harmony and as a result of the rabid reaction from certain premium supporters to my reaction posts in this thread I can safely state that this will be my final post in non-U.K. premium steelbook threads . . .
It goes without saying that I didn't fully realise my comments about the artwork, colour, finish etc. on these steelbooks in these threads is not allowed just because I don't actually buy them (even though I may already have bought the steelbook by itself if it was a WWA and available from one of the U.K. retailers).
I consider a steelbook to be a steelbook whether it be a standard steelbook or one that comes with extra bits and bobs but clearly that's not the case . . . and I kind of get the negative expressions from people paying 50 quid a time for these releases and the fact that they do not appreciate an "outsider" coming in and criticising the artwork or anything else about them including the price.
Anyway, nothing much more to add to the above so I'll just leave it there and stick to more familiar territory.

Not when you've taken customers money but haven't even had a go ahead from a studio

Any job I've had if something needs to be finshed then you stay behind and finish it

Plus there's that saying that Germans are efficient

I don't mean about refund arriving in my account either, I know when the process starts it can take up to 5 working days, that's standard.

but to let your customers know what's happened and to say we will be issuing refunds is much more acceptable, not everyone is on social media and speaks German

It's been very quiet in here since pre order from the "owner"

Like I said previously I can wait, I understand it's a small operated company. That's ok, I get that. But I'm still allowed to be annoyed at the 0 communication and the style of business they ran

I also made this very clear the day they said its a steel. If they cancelled that pre order date, let it sink in to customers it's a steel and arranged a new date then none of this would of happened. It would of been cancelled before the new pre order date. Simple really

Well said, and completely agree :thumbs: Still awaiting my refund too :cautious::sleep: I'm still bummed the release has cancelled but now I'd far rather have my money back asap and move on to the next one please ;) #AintNoLoanTing :rofl:

Interesting. Maybe there is something more going on that we are not aware of.

Last time I was aware of an online collectible store that closed down was mothersbasement, a collectible figurne/statues online retailer licensed to sell goods from Sideshow, Hot Toys etc. Like many of its customers I pre-ordered items and paid for it in advance but their site closed down and went into financial difficulties. They did not refund anyone and everyone had to make claims through PP and through their CC. I had to file a claim and was fortunate enough to get my money back. Others were not so lucky. Some of the money run into hundreds of pounds as collectible toys are not cheap at all. A figurine easily costs like £250 - £400.

Not suggesting no one isn't going to get their refund here lol but it just gave me some memories a few years back.

@Aniv - anything you wish to share with us you might be aware of?

yeah, I've the same question. I'll give them some time to sort things out (I'll hope they get over this fiasco and continue to produce great editions), but won't wait forever.

Decided to write them an email as I still didn't get any refund,got back an email that the message hasn't been delivered so I wrote them on Facebook.. I really hope there will be no problem to get the refund

It is really disappointing they way we have been treated, a email would have sorted this out, an explanation as to what was going on, a generic email in German on Facebook! Really!
Hopefully they will sort themselves out.
It's also annoying that I am still waiting for a refund... Come on SA get your act together... You where building up quite a strong following!!

I'm waiting still for a refund too. I don't understand why there is no reaction by steelarchive. The website is also down since days. I hope he is not gone bankrupt.

Disappointed. If it truly was low interest I'd say two factors didn't help - price and how fast it went up for pre-order. Gave themselves zero time to build hype despite being a slipbox/scanavo first. What a shame. Hopefully Neon Demon goes through without a repeat. :wow:

I can understand your disappointment that Prisoners was cancelled but Neon Demon...hmmm...are you sure?
