It was 20th Century Fox not warner who previously was the distributor for Child's Play 1988 Blu-ray releases in UK since 2012 and that distribution deal expired on June 30, 2020

Warner had distribution for the DVD release in 2004 of Child's Play but did not have distribution with the later Blu-ray releases in UK
The UK Blu-ray Amaray/FuturePak/SteelBook releases was from Fox

MGM films some was distributed by Warner and Fox in UK
Child's Play 2 and the later films are from Universal not MGM
MGM is now owned by Amazon
It's MGM who decide if a film from their catalogue is given a licence to another label and that's not decided by warner
MGM would not give a licence to do a 4K UHD release in UK to Arrow they only allowed the existing 2012 UK Blu-ray be used
Warner has distribution for MGM films after the Fox deal ended
but If another label wants to do a release of a mgm film that requires permission from MGM and is a separate licence
