I don't like it when people state the extra stuff that are put in these Asian releases are cheap extras or tat. You take that away and what are you left with, a lenticular slip, a magnet or a fullslip which people have called a "fancy piece of cardboard". You take that away and what are you left with, a WWA steelbook which is identical to what Kimchi and Manta Labs have used and same as what Filmarena will use?

With that mindset why are you collecting these releases instead of picking them up for half the price at release from Zavvi or HMV or where that specific WWA steelbook is coming from?

Someone asked me last week when I said I wasn't a fan of the Kimchi Deadpool lenti if I had it in hand to compare, I didn't and I never saw it in person but I saw pictures of it and I wasn't saying the lenticular quality wasn't good, I just didn't like the generic city scape in the back with the exploding buildings which weren't even in the movie. I don't need to see the Kimchi fullslip of Deadpool in person to say i prefer Manta labs, the texture of the mask isn't all over the mask on Kimchi, only the red parts. The back artwork picture may be cool and fill the whole space but I equally like the one Manta used. Manta's one doesn't have Chinese text on the front which gives the it a cleaner look and Kimchi may have a more vibrant red but the Manta Lab version is more reflective of the actual colour of the suit in the movie, it wasn't bright red.

I think years down the road Kimchi's version will just be another Kimchi release but this is Manta Labs Global Steelbook #001 and I can't think of a better way to start a line, bring on Batman V Superman!

There is nothing wrong with the Kimchi copies, the full slip and Lenti are superb. You get the odd troll here and there trying to belittle fellow collectors because they own what they believe to be the definitive copy. No one likes a smart ass collector. To say it 'blows Kimchi out of the water' is utter rediculous...

Exactly, we must respect the tastes of everyone, I for my part hoped that this edition is more complete than kimchidvd, but not going to say this is better than the other; Everyone has his taste, the only thing that bothers me is that kimchidvd could have done a more complete edition (booklet, etc.)

Yep they could had added more extra's. And Manta with the extras could at least fit them in their premium packaging! When you display them there be a gap with extras stuffed behind in the protectors! Looks a little silly I must say lol.

The image may not have been seen in the movie but incase you were unaware...
20th Century Fox has released a new international poster for Deadpool, which you can have a look below.

I do pick them up for half the price at Zavvi/HMV etc. That's right, I double dip (and more on some). That way I have a copy to open and enjoy the steelbook artwork and also a copy to keep sealed and enjoy the slip artwork.

Lets not get confused here about my point... I am talking about only the additional tat, yes TAT, that the companies give you with these releases. You may question why I buy them if I think it's tat but I don't ever buy thinking "OMG LOOK AT THAT TAT. I WANT IT NOW". I stated already that I buy for a) The film itself, and b) The slip artwork. I simply recognise that the price is jacked up higher because of this additional tat. Not all of it for every release (in my opinion) is tat, but again if you read back I was referring to the poster specifically with the cards a close second... and a poster is something that I personally won't roll out and put up on my wall. I don't need it. So therefore to me it is tat.

Ooooh a poster... ooooh a keyring..... can't wait to keep them forever.

Chill. It's all subjective.

Please can you elaborate and break down in detail why the mantalab 'blows the kimchi out of the water?' I'm interested to your 'opinion' as I am very much considering getting this copy as well and keeping both versions.
