That was a pretty damning review...

You listen to just one side of the reviewer pillow and then not actually go and see the movie based on that sole reviewer, then sorry...you're a total douchebag...and I mean in the Victorian sense of the word. Jeez :hilarious:

That guy is funny, I'll give him that, but let's be honest. He caters to his audience who are mostly haters and negative thinkers. Not really interested in balance.

That's the problem with social media and the internet these days.

Stupid people found their home and their sphere of influence. No need for "critical" (yes I'm being fatuous), objective thinking. Yep. I'll just listen to my favourite influencer and they can choose and decide for me.

Come on.

No doubt it's a brainless, trashy remake that gets slaughtered but if you're in the mood for a well made popcorn throwaway movie with a great soundtrack that requires the minimum of investment then it delivers...
I’ve not seen it. I’ve seen the bad reviews but it’s Edgar wright and it’s his only film I’m missing in steel

The eye is upside down!!!
that's such an easy thing to check first - and also to revise now. come on, producers, sort it out!

i am firmly convinced the slew of absolute garbage designs and stupid errors we have seen in steels recently is the result of AI being used over designers to save costs. :ugh:

The eye is also upside down in the teaser poster. It’s intentional. The steel is the teaser poster

Ok, so I saw Disclosure Day this morning. And I’m still disappointed and angry 12hrs later.

If you wanted a chance to see Spielberg bring out all the old tropes from Close Encounters and E.T., well you’ll be mostly ok. If you were hoping for something new and interesting, you are going to be disappointed. Gravely so.

Oh and if you are looking for a story that provides any kind of closure or answers, or even just tries to connect plot points in its own movie, you’ve just been had.

In brief (too late I know), it sucked. And on so many levels. Just rewatch Close Encounters. It’s the same ****ing story.

(Oh and damn it’s got eye watering my bad CGI.)

Each to their own.

I enjoyed it more than Close Encounters, I disagree on every point you made other than the cgi, which I presume is directed to the animals (if not, I’m not then I’ll disagree with that too).
