You posted about 3 times telling peeps they didn't need to buy with the ZBOX as it would be available on its own.

Then from #867 onwards there are posted of "it's live" and "ordered"

That's not advanced notice that's posting live time on the day it went live which most not seeing that info been at work


Advanced notice is we state the exact date and time a steelbook will be live before it goes live and at least the day before
This is usually told at least a few days before and that way members know exact date and time and can plan in advance and be ready to place an order

Yes I posted you didn't need to buy with the ZBOX as it would be available on its own but I never provided a time it would be live on it own

We only knew when the Zbox/Combo was going live and the steelbook on its own live time was not known
First chance to pre-order this item is tomorrow, May 20th at 8 am UK time with 'Good Cop/Bad Cop' Zbox

When asked multiple times by other members what time the steelbook will be available on its on the answer was not known

It was a complete surprise the live time for the steelbook on its own as most were not expecting it
We only knew the combo deal would be live at 8.00am and no one knew in advance the steelbook by itself was going live at 12.00pm noon it was only noticed by luck that morning at 9.53am that it would be at 12.00 noon most did not see this post to the thread as most were at work
No one knew what the live time would be the day before

actually DB posted the day before that it was going live the next day....we had plenty of notice

it's not a big deal anyway as it's a thing of the past
I for one don't really care much since Novamedia version is what I'd like to get and I already have the Mondo steel

The Zbox/Dredd Combo has not been listed as Sold Out at any stage since going live

Lots of members posted to the thread that day said they did not know the steelbook on its own went live and missed getting an order in and even some who did know about 12.00 noon also missed at it went live earlier than expected was listed as sold out lot quicker than expected

Its very obvious why a lot of members would not see the post to the thread regarding the steelbook itself live time the next morning that was scheduled for 12 noon live time considering the day before we all only knew the live time for Zbox/Dredd Combo and lot would have been at work at 9.53am when info posted about 12 noon

The Steelbook on its own actually went live at 11.35 am and was listed as Sold Out around 12.56 pm
That's 1 Hour 20 Min and its suddenly sold out yet the previous announced Zbox/Dredd Combo is still available and still is today

The Steelbook is listed as a print run of 2,500
As far as I'm concerned all 2,500 of that print run should be available to purchase on its own without the need to buy any other product

I know this will come back in stock as most customers are not fools and will not order this release with the Zbox
I know there will be some who really do want Zbox/Dredd Combo and will keep their orders that's fine as they ordered for that reason


I will not be surprised when the steelbook by itself comes back available to order for lot longer than 1 Hour 20 Min

Zavvi need to stop the Combo releases and keep the products as separate listings
Its misleading customers who look at the website listing of the steelbook at the moment

Everyone that didn't order will plump for the Nova version so when it DOES come back on sale won't sell out fast. Amaray art plus terrible transfer, it will end up just like all the rest in flash sales LOL!

If thats the case I would actually keep the junk box sealed till the steel arrives. If it doesn't then send it back "AT THEIR EXPENSE". If you cannot fill an order then send the junk back. Thats outrageus!

By keeping a lot of the stock tied to the Cop Zbox they have actually limited the sales of the steelbook especially now since we know about nova steelbook getting a release

Some will double dip of course and be getting both but by not making all available stock of the steelbook on its own available to order from day 1 they are simply missing out on what would have been 100% orders
Some members will be cancelling their Zavvi order and going for the nova release and some who would have wanted to order the zavvi steelbook as well but cant at the moment now wont bother when it comes back in stock or will wait for a price drop

All the Zbox releases should be totally separate products and not be tied to a steelbook and to get sales

Rule 1 with a product sell all available stock at maximum profit if a popular release to avoid having leftover stock you cant shift at a later stage

At the moment Zavvi have not sold all of the stock as its tied to the zbox combo and with nova release announced has missed the boat IMO

Like what has happened to me, i ordered ratatouille with retro z-box and it has never been dispatched even though i paid for it. Have been sending emails for the whole month of June, now 32 days and counting, to customer service haha, and they still have not resolved the mistake they made. Hoping this doesn't happen with Dredd also, as i bought this with a z-box deal. They are a joke when it comes to customer service lol.

i think you need clairfcation when paul call quotes "we" in every sentence he is in fact referring him and hdn staff as he is now a mod and is in staff mode. which happened some months ago now to quite a few peoples surpise tbh.

Trying to shift a steelbook from possibly the WORST film distribution company out there...EIV!!!

Worst transfers ever!!! I don't believe EIV have heard of the blu-ray format!!!!

I've ordered the german digibook that's coming out!!....why people want a third rate transfer of this film at an inflated price just because it's a steelbook is beyond me!!!! Please people read the reviews regarding this blu ray transfer....it is genuinely awful...don't waste your money for Zavvi's greed!!!!!!

SnoolouI gave US the heads up on live time with this one . YES advance notice from DB the steel was very very short notice agreed . Fact is at some point it will come back in lets hope the notice is a little more In our favour .
