It was originally posted for £15.99 but was never live so that price was never offered to the public.
Looks like Zavvi have everyone by the short and curlies again so with the only option of returning it for a full refund if you're not happy.

Unless in the meantime some small miracle happens and they start shipping the keyrings seperately?

Pathetic response and they even wrongly stated my name as "Farooq"!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Sales of Goods Act item not as described

If a business seller makes a false statement to persuade you to buy goods, they may have committed a criminal offence. You may want to report the trader to Trading Standards who have power to investigate this type of offence

Contracts of sale

Consumer goods must be in conformity with the contract of sale

The options are the seller/trader correct the mistake and supply you with any missing items that you paid for that was in the description of goods for sale or a full refund and option to return the goods you already received

They also must contact all customers if they are not supplying a item that was previously listed as part of the description of goods for sale and offer a option of a full refund if payment already taken
If the item missing from your order has a value and was not clearly stated as free you may have the right to receive a refund that is the cost of that item missing


If a trader/seller fails to comply with correcting a description of goods for sale or offer you a option of a refund or don't supply you with the missing item they may have committed an offence
If a trader continues to advertise a item for sale and does not supply goods as described and not correct this they can face prosecution and fines for false advertising


Its still possible that Zavvi/Hut plan to send the Keychain separate and the release date of this is at another time but if that is the case they must clearly state when that will be expected to customers

No @lights... They didn't! Zavvi customer service representatives always give such vague, pathetic responses that never even answer the query given to them in the first place! Extremely frustrating retailer to deal with sometimes... Especially when it comes to their "after-sales" customer service :mad::mad::mad::punch::punch::punch:
 
The images also show different inside artwork to what they are showing on retail web site.

My point is is this the Zavvi steelbook or not?

You must have been looking at blu-devil customized version he done he's known for it and can confuse members when he posts photos of his customized inside artwork but he does state clearly he did customize the inside artwork in his posting

Actually looking back at the listing which by the way is still up nowhere does it say that the Keychain is a freebie with the steelbook. The wording of the listing is that the steelbook and the Keychain form a package whose price is 24.99 and since the Keychain by itself has value then they have to either supply the Keychain or refund the value of the Keychain which is 9 quid. Thanks to @paulboland for the legal info.

I would not take replies yet from Zavvi/The Hut as 100% that we are not getting the Keychain its still possible that its been sent separate

Zavvi customer service might not know that its been sent at a later stage I will ask tomorrow with Zavvi if that is the case
When I get a reply I will let you know what they tell me
 
The facts are as I see them are:-

(1) Zavvi GBP 24.99 and HUT GBP 17.98 for exactly the same item(s) - listed on both sites as "DREDD 3D WITH LIMITED EDITION EXCLUSIVE NUMBERED KEYCHAIN (2,500 ONLY)".

(2) No keychains have been received yet by anybody (from either Zavvi or The Hut) only the steelbooks.

(3) The keychains were not included with the steelbooks in the white boxes by all accounts.

(3) The logical thing to assume at this point is that the power-that-be decided sensibly enough that the keychains, which are larger than I at first thought at 54mm x 40mm not including the fixing loop and chain, will be sent in separate packaging to prevent possible transit damage to the steelbooks even though they come in dedicated felt drawstring pouches.

The question is "What to do now?" if Zavvi / The Hut are unable to supply the Numbered Keychains.

The haters of this steelbook, of which there are many, will naturally return theirs to Zavvi or The Hut - freepost for a full refund - by contacting them through the order "Contact Us" page, then choose "I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY ORDER" followed by "THERE IS AN ITEM MISSING FROM MY ORDER" or "ITEM RECEIVED IS NOT AS EXPECTED" followed by a message - nothing too salty though.

Those like myself who don't object to the steelbook may decide to keep it and may request a refund (how about 50% as GBP 8.99 is the RRP of the keychain and the steelbook costs GBP 17.98?) OR attempt to get confirmation that the keychain WILL be sent soon.


Zavvi / The Hut must somehow be forced to admit that :-

(a) There has been a delay with the keychains from the distributors and the keychains will be sent out as soon as we have them.

(b) The keychains were in a box in the warehouse marked "Dredd keychains" but we suspect one of the workers there has stolen the box . . . We have, however, ordered another 2,500 from Planet Replicas and have asked them to individually number them 1 - 2,500. These will be sent out to all our loyal customers that ordered this 'Dredd' steelbook from us as soon as we have them back in stock.

What a palaver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It don't involve contacting Zavvi on their website its through other methods when its to do with release info and pricing
I rarely will use Zavvi contact us on their website as I know the response will be most times of no use
That I only use for canceling an order or when I don't get delivery and a lot of the time I end up using the other methods if its missing delivery or a complaint

I don't though expect a reply until tomorrow or Monday

Have no interest in the keychain but The Hut have canceled my order altogether due to a payment issue , which having triple checked all PayPal cards & settings I now conclude is utter bollocks. The same guy who replied above - Showmir - said I'd need to reorder. But the product is no longer listed.
Very annoyed as I don't own this film and wanted a steel reflecting the movie promo art.
