Am I nuts, or was there someone who posted a while back that the keyring is actually INSIDE the steelbook?
Meaning that- if you are a collector who doesn't open your steelbooks, you don't realise that you have the keyring- it is just inside the steelbook.
(Any confirmation on this would be appreciated!)

That was someone who was making an assumption the keychain be inside the Steelbook

It was never said that the keychain would be inside the Steelbook by Zavvi at any stage nor was it said on the website listing

It's been made clear by Zavvi and Planet Replicas that the Keychain is been sent separately and Zavvi started to ship the keychains on Wendesday to customers for those who ordered from Zavvi or the Hut websites

Think that might have been me as I'd assumed that the keychain would be tucked in next to one or other end of the steelbook inside the white box.

That was before I came across Planet Replicas and noticed the size of the thing (H: 54mm x W: 40mm - not including the fixing loop and chain) and realised there's no way that could happen as it clearly wouldn't fit.

No, it wasn't me who posted that the keychain might be INSIDE the steelbook - I only thought originally that it might be inside the white packing box next to the steelbook (as mentioned in previous above).
You are correct in thinking what you thought as I also remember reading an earlier post from someone suggesting that the keychain might be inside the steelbook.

I actually had zero interest in the keychain from the get-go. So they can keep their little bauble, fine with me. I just wanted the steelbook.

Cops ZBOX available to buy @ GBP 19.99 WITHOUT the steelbook.
With the steelbook it was something like GBP 43 if I remember correctly.

Yes, you are correct - I did it another way and went straight to Zavvi to search for the Cops ZBOX and all I came up with was the item for GBP 19.99 and the 'Sold out' steelbook - putting 2 and 2 together I came up with 5 as if I'd used the link at the top of this page I'd have seen that the combo is still available

I would say someone in the UK should have delivery of the keychain by this weekend as Zavvi did say they shipped some on Tuesday and Wendesday
I would be surprised if we don't see someone say they got the keychain by then
They also posted on Twitter to lot of customers that their keychain has been shipped

When I get mine is hard to say as items posted to me from the UK can take from 4 days to as long as 10 days with Zavvi and even longer sometimes

Hopefully someone will post soon they got delivery

Orders can be despatched from either depending upon who fulfils your the order at time of despatch

Depends on were the stock was sent to for despatch to customers could be both or just one of them
I don't know how Zavvi decide which location is used that's not known to me


I'm guessing when I get very quick delivery its from the UK warehouse and when it takes longer to arrive its from Jersey warehouse as its hard to tell when you will get delivery
For me when its quick its 3-4 days
When it longer its 5-10 days

I would say there is no way knowing what location will be used to ship your order when you get your despatch emails from zavvi you just have to wait and see

No keychain today, I'm starting to think zavvi/hut are giving out some bull**it advice. However, the Hut replied to me today with the usual reply seen here in this thread by other members, ie, sorry you haven't received the Dredd Numbered Keychain, I have passed this to the relevant department, and will contact you shortly...blah blah....

I'm just glad I managed to grab the steelbook from the Hut rather than forking out £25 at zavvi, but I still want that keyring/chain, as that's what I purchased.

Same here, but for different reasons. I bought the keyring in Forbidden Planet London a year or so ago as it looked awesome, so didn't really want or need another. Really just wanted the steelbook. It's a shame we weren't given the option of a steelbook without the keyring for £10 less. I know this one is numbered which makes it limited, but it's still essentially the same keyring.
