Everything from the 90's and early 2000's are now great, awesome movies in comparison to today's crap – that's the rules! :D
Oh the time before every story had to deconstruct the protagonist and every antagonist was sympathetic. Where subverting audience expectations was an exception instead of the presumption. A time where characters had arcs, struggles, and went through the hero’s journey.

I picked up a blu ray of this which I don’t even know where it came from because it wasn’t a uk release blu ray but it’s great to see this film get a steelbook release.

The love triangle stuff is annoying though I can see why they did it but the cat and mouse between Law and Harris is great. It always fascinated me how in these ruined cities a sniper would choose their position and how they would set up decoys and the like.

Anyone know of any films that are similar and worth a watch?

Thankfully Paramount seems to be on an original poster art Steelbook thing at the moment, what with Clear And Present Danger, Beverly Hills Cop, this and Hopefully The Saint with original art as well. Which makes their choice to reissue that pants The Hunt For Red October Steelbook instead of the original poster image for the first time on a steel a strange one, and where's Patriot Games? When it's suggested that there is now a lack of institutional knowledge of catalogue at the major studios this kind of thing hints at that being true. Why do Clear And Present Danger with original art when you haven't started with the original Red October and Patriot Games? Honestly.

If Patriot Games follows, surely they have to do The Sum of All Fears to complete the JR series
Absolutely and that Chris Pine Kevin Costner Jack Ryan prequel thingy. Not that I care much about that one. I only own it because it was in that Jack Ryan set.
