Yup. I liked the idea Marla wasn't real...and in contrast, getting rid of her imperfections may add to that theory though. I'd rather Finchmeister didn't make these changes at all if I'm honest. Imperfections are to be enjoyed in film making, it's part of the fun more often than not.
Even if his OCD keeps him awake at night, I'd be fine with his tinkering as long as we'd get the 100% original/intact version too. That would, of course, raise the cost, but an extra disc would satisfy both sides.
Same goes for Cameron, Lucas...
Has there ever been a case where these 'creative additions' have actually improved a film?
This is why I mentioned to keep your Blu Rays. I’d seen all the changes and tinkering comparisons online and it annoyed me. But I’m still looking forward to seeing the 4K
Not sure but if any Fincher movie cries out for 'creative additions' or, as much tweaking as is humanly possible it would be Alien 3. Anything that can possibly done to that Fincher movie can only be a good thing...

Alien³, the poor guy disowned long ago. Given the theatrical output fox strung together, I don't blame him. It's a mess. The Assembly Cut is miles better imo, much closer to what Fincher wanted, and that was also colour corrected vs the theatrical.
If Bob's moobs haven't been edited to look even larger then I'm cancelling my order
