I think I found the first best movie of 2026!

Just brilliant. Sam Rockwell knocks it out the park. Absolutely go see this before it leaves cinemas. Such a shame it's down to 2 showings a day already in my local. Probably best movie of the year so far for me. Haley lu Richardson was also very good. I went in blind and had a lot of fun! Worth seeing for the parents scene alone :shipped:

I need a premium of this ASAP

I enjoyed it but it’s a weird film and that’s outside of its theme. Not everything lands but I think I like the idea, the cast and all the ingredients.
Wouldn’t mind a steelbook or an edition from a Korean retailer

So I’m assuming that they are actually all in a simulation or possibly a video game? Or it’s just Rockwell. Because there’s too much stuff not explained like the giant cat horse. Casual cloning. Phone hypnosis. Virtual reality you’re prepared to die for to be in. He mentions anything can turn up at that final house. We get zombie teens controlled by doomscrolling. And loads of other weird stuff like what the clone kid can do at the end with the wires, toys and visually. Not to mention the ending when she clicks they didn’t fix it. That’s all I kept thinking anyway. And him going back in time is more a loop/ respawn like a video game. Maybe it’s a simulation/ VR game gone wrong like that black mirror episode with Wyatt Russell mixed with the USS callister episode. I feel like for Rockwell everything is real until around when his mother dies. When he used a VR set. This kinda reminded me a lot of Shaun of the dead meets black mirror and don’t worry darling. A few things from mirror tbh. Actually quite a lot of the issues, themes and tech from BM was In this film.

I hoped this would be good, and in some places this film exceeded my expectations. It's like a long episode of Black Mirror, and with all the backstories, and possible repeats & time loops, it probably would've been better as a TV series. Why do they stretch out movie plots to series length, and not make some great ideas such as this into series?
Great satire on today's population though, I just didn't like allusions to 'conservatives' being 'okay' with constant school shootings, as it'sobviously a stab at them with the 'higher class' moms, and them being 'programmed' to thank anyone in a uniform 'for their service' – that's such a crappy joke, dragging on from the dirty hippies of the 60s, and the way it's exacerbated into absurdity in the movie.
Otherwise I'd love to see more 'episodes', and this is a both funny and scary product of our time, that puts up a literal mirror to our society, especially the brain-rotten GenZ and younger.

It immediately felt like a large Black Mirror episode to me too, but it's also heavily influenced by 12 Monkeys and The Matrix, both visually and thematically.

Little collectors edition I picked up for this.

Essentially the normal 4k release but with added art cards and slipcover. Both nice imo and good use of art.
