Response from ES about the finish they are going for on this release:
There’s an emboss on the title treatment, gloss varnish on the front, cutting out the characters and a dull varnish covering the back.

The red text and red image on the back is also a pantone red, which should be a bright pillar box red.

Just added to the OP:

Entertainment Store only ship to UK addresses. So overseas folk will need to look into the possibility of a group buy

Captain Coffee, are you looking into this?

Am going to have a rant here about the price.

Unwillingly payed £27.99 for Jack Reacher based on the fact that it was so limited.

So double the original print run and Jack Reacher and only £1 reduction?

That says to me the pricing has nothing whatsoever to do with print runs. They are just charging a huge premium because they want to and can get away with it.

No-one wins as half of these will end up on Ebay anyways.

Well, heard the film was pants but given how I want to support ES (and give Luke a hug & a pint in what has surely been a trying week for ES) - and given the quality (manufacture snafus aside) of the Reacher steel, I'm in.
I got to the address page of the iPad based order and none of the page links would action - in either Safari or Mercury browsers.
Eventually ordered (painfully) via my work BlackBerry - not easy to do on a moving train.
Gemma Arterton's arse had better look good in this for the £27 drop onto my stretched finances.
