Trying to evaluate getting this movie (any steelbook of it) and it just boils down to:

Pros: Milla Jovovich because I love her

Cons: Getting destroyed in reviews.

Crap movie or not, there's some awesome poster art out there, so unless they attempt to be "creative" with it, then they can't really go wrong with the steelbook art.

Loved the first two; the first one slightly more. Watched this one last night and it was extremely "meh". 5/10 probably. It was sort of enjoyable, but only in a "there's nothing on the TV on sunday and I'm hungover and don't want to leave the couch" type way. So I won't be buying any copy of it, may watch it when it hits channel 5 in a few years.
David Harbour was decent at portraying Hellboy, they're big shoes to fill. The rest of the characters were pretty poor, even Ian McShane, whom I usually love in everything. Most of the jokes fell flat and a lot of the CGI was like I was watching the Sci-Fi channel, not even up to Netflix standards. In short, I wouldn't blind buy this.

It’s not forced anymore, it’s the new default! :D
If you can’t beat it, join it

(And Zavvi was already my most non used retailer, but for other reasons)

I would join it, if they didn't charge me £30 for the pleasure

Besides I'm saving up for the 60 quid 8K steelbooks next year!!

Hmm, 60 quid for 8K steelbooks - I guess they'll push out 4K at least and they'll add in 3D as a legacy freebie - bargain :D

Well you never know, with the reviews and comments coming out - and the efforts that are put into steelbooks art are always scientifically inverse relationship effort - this will end up being steelbook of the year :woot:
