Seriously guys the only positive thing from this for me is that we'll get a better Iron Man 3 Steelbook, maybe a new Hulk Steel and hopefully a better Guardians of the Galaxy Steelbook

Although I would like to see new versions of these also, I really can't see Iron Man 3 getting a new steel, it was a Zavvi exclusive in the first place. (Wouldn't put it past them though) But I agree I would like to see a new version of it.

how is it positive thing to get time after time new releases of marvel steels ?

it's ***...g meh. so many films without steel waiting for chance.

its obvious that zavvi could have sold this alone and it would have sold out instantly with it having a lenticular magnet.

zavvi know this. they obviously know it will attract a lot of attention, which is precisely why they have nailed it to a zbox, thus forcing you to spend more money.

its not enough that it will instantly sell out, they really want to cash in.

there is a word which summarizes this practice- exploitation.

also opportunistic

I don't have a problem if they do Zbox this way

1) You order a Steelbook it goes to the basket and your order a Zbox and its in your basket
Both items are in one order but are separate items in that order
Now the important part you can cancel both or one of your items in your order if required as per your rights under EU law with Consumer Rights Directive

You then still will receive delivery of the item you want to keep but yes loose any discount that may have applied for ordering both items

The problem with the Zbox Steelbook combos its treated as one order instead of 2 separate items in one order
You have the Zbox shipped first but they take payment for the whole order so if you wanted to cancel the steelbook or the Zbox on its own you cant
You also then as you paid all up front when the dispatch of the Zbox is shipped your left with an outstanding item to be shipped that you have paid for and from what I have seen there has been a few cases where the customer did not get the steelbook shipped

2) Its simple solution
Zbox has a payment taken when ready for dispatch and shipped
Steelbook has paymemt taken when ready for dispatch and shipped

Customer under the rules of Consumer Rights Directive has the right to cancel all or part of their order at any stage before been shipped and 14 days after delivery

That way both items are treated as separate items in a order with payment only taken for each separate item when ready for dispatch

^^^^^ customers shouldn't need to use any Consumer Rights Directive in the first place - this sh1tbox malarkey is just going too far.

To Zavvi
Let the customer decide if they want to order a Zbox and a Steelbook as part of a deal but still have the choice to order each item on its own and payment is only taken for each items when ready to be shipped if release dates are different

Also allow them their rights to cancel all or part of their order at any stage before been shipped

If customers want both that's their choice but it should not be forced on them if you want to purchase another product you must order this item as well

Give the customer the choice to choose

Thanks
Paul

Thanks, i like your solution, that would be a much more honest and upfront way to trade, and easier to follow your orders progress.

Consumer Rights Directive applies to any customer no matter what country they are from or what currency was used to pay for goods when you order online from a company or seller that is based and registered as a business or seller in a EU country
I have know idea what you are referring too. All I was saying is that for the US price I'm not paying the price. So all the other stuff you added isn't necessary.

First class A holes of the highest order .... thank god I own the play versions ..... It's like going to Morrisons and being told you can't buy any potatoes unless you buy some carrots !

If Zavvi were to produce more exclusive lenticular steelbooks without the Zbox and other gimmicks they could actually start moving steelbooks again. They have access to this forum and they know what people want. Its truly amazing how much they ignore this kind of information.

Just relax guys :cigar: when Zavvi realise collectors aren't going to surrender to their surreptitious brand of marketing (again :greedy:), they will release it as a stand alone steelbook. Unfortunately, it will probably be for the rediculous price of £34.99 (n)
