It is from Nova Media and is still on sale at about £28.

As for your comments, seriously don't take the bad comments personally, this is a below standard release and Zavvi seem to pee people off all of the time.

I collected so many of their releases and soon got bored of their lack of effort.

I now collect Nova, Kimchi etc, so buy now and then - expensive, but the quality is there.

One day you may take that path, but this is not an attack on your for liking it, it's a rant for a below par product. Collectors deserve more than what Zavvi serve up.

I do understand :)

I know those releases are a lot better but I am quite happy with these.

Haven't seen that film, any good?

We all know that full length lentis can look excellent on Blu-ray slipcovers or indeed on steelbook slipcovers/slipcases but what about when the lentis are on the steelbook itself and the artwork is continued on the border around the lenti ?
I'd imagine that it's problematic to line up perfectly as it's like matching a 'moving' image to a static one..

It's actually all the same concept design wise whether it's full size or in a border, it just happens I've never done a border one lol

A bit of thought and time could have made these amazing (although to me personally I think a border lenti will never be quite right as shown by @PKAVFC ) like the examples above but it would appear neither were used :D

A decent bordered lenti magnet should atleast align one side of the steelbook art when you tilt it, preferably both sides for it to be good in my eyes. If nothing aligns whatsoever, its just plain bad.

Wouldn't it misalign elsewhere though?

No it's more about the depth with this and he don't move and change like say nova avengers
He just looks 3D so when you move it the hat looks more full. It's hard to explain lol

Plus technically when you move a lenti you can't see what it's like the other side until you move it the other side. If you get what I mean

Considering the widespread feelings about the bundling of this (and the other one) exclusively with the ZBOX I hope and trust that those members about to receive the steelbook(s) any day now will not be put off from posting in-hand pics out of concerns of negative feedback as I'm sure we would all be grateful to see the pics, if members are kind enough to post them, and will behave accordingly.

I didn't order this and am only watching this and the other bundle thread because of the lenti aspect and because I've already committed myself to 4 of the others in the 'set' and because I'm not so sure anymore that they will look as good as I'd previously thought but of course if one or two don't look so good that doesn't mean some of the others will not look better . . . ?

Don't know who is responsible for the lentis but if it's all done in-house at Scanavo there really isn't any excuse that I can see for wonky or misaligned lentis or even for images at the edges of the lenti being at a slightly different scale to the images printed on the steelbook proper.
The pic kindly posted by Flloydo of the stunning French * "Hobbit" makes me wonder why we can't have something of similar quality here in the U.K. with no alignment issues worth mentioning especially as U.K. lenti steelbooks are a great rarity ( I believe only two others outside this wave?).
*Hoping to catch a glimpse at some point of similarly well-done German lenti steelbooks.
Sent a message earlier today to Scanavo for clarification on this issue :)

pretty much what i expected from these new lenticulars, very similar to the avengers assemble steelbook. A shame the lenti on captain america doesnt line up well (then again neither did avengers)
