Another one for the Jaws super fans.

Do we really need anymore of these films again so soon?
One or two a year at this point. Like, at least hold back your wad for at least a little while longer :cigar:

As good as these films are, yet another release feels excessive but the US is getting a nice 8 film library case of them:

Jaws
Close encouters
Raiders of the Lost ark
ET
Jurassic Park
Schindler's list
Saving Private Ryan
War of the worlds

Amazon product

Works out about £150 or £19 a film, seems kinda nice and it's a shame we didn't get it here too.

Ah, didn't clock that. Spielberg set. Probably due to the release of Disclosure Day coming up in the summer. Timing.

Is there a link to this set. I can't seem to locate it on US Amazon for some reason.

Edit. Paul's done it.

More like £190 or £23.50 a film, once you add on UK shipping and import charges. Still, that's £50 odd less than £30 each, & you get a free library case, which will 100% arrive destroyed from the US via Amazon, so it's a good job its "free" lol

Ah Sam, your certainly represent the half glass full view of the world today, all for the quest of receiving these in gloss, rather than streaky matte, well I hope that's what the US will be getting

I prefer the label realist, then pessimist, but I can't argue with you there

Your Jaws collection must be extensive by now. How many editions do you have now dude?

I love collecting multiples for my favourite films. It seems weird at first, but actually, there aren't that many you'd necessarily collect multiples for anyway.

Jaws is phenomenal.
What's your favourite edition you have?
Love the Cinemuseum set but it's so hard to get now.

Haha, yeah, the collection is getting there. I think this is my 10th or 11th copy of the film across all the formats, from VHS to 4K. I’m lucky enough to own the CineMuseum One Click, and it’s gorgeous, although I’m not a fan of their business model or the way they treat collectors.

My pride and joy in the collection, though, is the recent pressing of Memories of Martha’s Vineyard. It comes with a piece of the dock from the iconic scene, and the behind-the-scenes book is fantastic. It’s well worth checking out for any fan of the film.

You and me both, brother. I beg for JAWS and always have.

Do you have a Jaws Collection? or are you mostly interested in media?

My collection at this point is massive, including shooting scripts, varying releases of the film in VHS, dvd, blu, 4K. Several hard to get sought after editions, including CM, which I sadly didn't have the money for the One-click, but got the FS. Posters, magazines from it's release, numerous goodies from the Jaws Fests I've attended, a first edition Jaws Log and Memories of Martha's Vineyard by Edith Blake, who was a wonderful lady. I could go on and on. Much of it is in boxes because there's so much. It's nice to see there is another Ninja that views this incredibly amazing masterpiece as the jewel in cinema that it is. I'm in the Horrorhound edition that came out a few years back with a pic of my collection.

If you have a nice collection I'd love to see it. Or even a shot of all your media for the film. I've been thinking of digging it all out and taking pics, aside from the one pic I do have which is missing alot.

Regarding this steel, I love the poster art. It would be nice to get lobby cards of all the differing countries releases. Maybe I'll have to make some. LOL.

Have you watched the 3d version and what did you think of it ?

No I haven't. Years ago I was in shipping and somehow came in contact with a chemical agent. Not sure how that happened, but I had about a week of burning and tearing eyes that would not stop. Went to a specialist who pointed to the chemical agent. Eventually I got better, but a while later when I went into a theater to watch a movie, my eyes began burning and tearing again. It's awful, man. Fast forward to about 4 years ago and Jaws was at the local theater. Once the lights went down and the film rolled, my eyes began tearing and burning again, but not as severe. I'm kind of afraid to watch the 3D version due to this. So no, I haven't. Given I'm a JawsFinatic, I figured you deserved the whole rundown. I am planning on attending another movie to see if I've improved, but I mostly watch stuff at home on blu as I don't have a 4K.
