But many 90's shows are, and I'm fine with it.
I don't buy any of the new, post 2003 series on DVD, when they were broadcast in better, HD quality. Those if the studios don't want my money, I honestly steal in the form of at least 1080p files.

Oef dvd's are pretty outdated i cant stand watching those. I will wait for a blue ray or 4k, that is if it ever happens... proberly not

They're fine. I surely understand, like the quality difference is big – during first days of HD, in 2006-08, I thought I wouldn't be replacing every DVD, but ended up grabbing any and everything on BD. With BD to UHD I could finally do that.
But I sometimes watch DVDs still, things that aren't available in better quality anywhere, not even streaming/digital copy/pirate recordings off of some HDTV broadcast (like HBO's excellent Oz series, or Friday the 13th TV show, stuff like that), and you get used to it quickly, actually forget what you're watching in about 5 minutes...

I always liked to watch in the best quality available when i go back to dvd i just cant enjoy it anymore, but yeah when its not available you dont have a choice so i fully get your point.
