Amazon USA price will drop to $34.96 or less before release date
They often list new pre order releases at MSRP when they first go live this has been happening for a good few years.
It's nothing new you won't end paying MSRP the amazon pre order price guarantee will auto apply any price drops that happen to your pre order
It covers any price drops that happen after you ordered to release date.

When amazon price drops happen it varies can be a few days or few weeks/months later or not until release date itself.
Sometimes the pre order price guarantee also covers price drops that happen 24/48 hours after release date when that happens you get a refund of the difference.

yes but usually they have dropped there price in first couple of weeks and by now i would have expected that to have happened by now, its not like this has just opened up, been up since 20 july.
im not after this one as luck has it but amazon has got very slow of late opening up to international orders
and very slow to drop prices. its not helping anyone here.
even if they think there sales tactics are great
next will be the $99 sales tactics just damn stupid

Note
It's looking like so far only the 4K releases from North America distributed by Sony has the Inside the Lens: The Raw Cut version included

UK/EU releases which is not distributed by Sony the Blu-ray disc that's included with those 4K UHD releases is listed as having the Theatrical Version
That could change when released but that won't be known for sure until released and in hand with customers or before release date if the UK/EU release content details included listed get changed.

Notes
UHD Disc has the Theatrical version only
Blu-ray Disc has Inside the Lens: The Raw Cut version + extras

Inside the Lens: The Raw Cut, a full-length alternative cut with a split-screen comparison between the final cut of the film and a version with unfinished VFX with optional audio commentary by director Wes Ball, editor Dan Zimmerman and VFX supervisor Erik Winquist. The never-before-seen alternate cut gives fans a unique opportunity to see the actors’ performances before the visual effects were completed.

  • 14 Deleted/Extended Scenes with optional audio commentary by director Wes Ball
I am unable to find the information but does the North America Blu-ray also contains the Theatrical Version ? Or it’s simply only The Raw cut version which seems to make no sense for those who want to see the Theatrical version on Blu-ray (n):dunno:

USA/Canada 4K releases
UHD has the Theatrical version
The Blu-ray included only had the Inside the Lens: The Raw Cut version + extras.

USA/Canada
If you want the Theatrical version on Blu-ray you have to purchase separate Blu-ray release.

Is the raw cut worth it?
Nobody has seen it, so it's hard to tell. If you read the write-up on it, you can judge for yourself. It's essentially a cut of the film without the special effects, and some explanatory notes etc..

That's interesting enough in small segments, but I wouldn't want to watch an entire 2.5hr film of it. Particularly one like this, where the motion capture apes are the main attraction.

It’s crazy to me what these releases have been listing for initially.

Makes you wonder if there trying to jack prices up
Like old days 4k was 20 now is 34 here in UK
I wonder if in slow time there trying push upwards again

But is complete madness there initial price point Now
