Manhunter (1986) - 40th Anniversary (4K + Blu-ray Limited Edition) (StudioCanal) [UK]

As long as we get both cuts in 4k together. I don't see the problem. Let the 'Mann' ( ) cook.
Just give me both.

Absolutely; I'd never whine about revisionism if the originals were included. Sadly, it's often not the case. As earlier stated in this same thread, I can only think of Arrow's Thief offering the original cut and color palette (and that wasn't 4K either).

So it's what they call The Final Cut:

Michael Mann’s ‘Manhunter: The Final Cut’ 4K Restoration Heads to Theaters Next Month

If the picture was left the way it was, it would be interesting, but you’d feel some distance …you’d be observing it somewhat. I’m more interested in its original intent impacting you the same way it may have in 1986…that is, to bring you into it again in the original way.

 I'm out.
There he goes again. He can't help himself. So this will now be the third cut. I honestly prefer the theatrical to the director's cut, but let's see what he comes up with. Will probably go and see this on the big screen as I've never seen it in a cinema. Thanks for the article link @PracticingPat. That new poster for the cinema showings shown in the article will probably be the cover for the physical release as well.
