Classic horror film but truly not for everyone. I showed it to a couple people recently who both hated it. One of them found it offensive. The other is a hardened horror fan and said it was the most disturbing film he’d seen.

I haven't seen it, but assume it's one of those pointless torture pornos for people living a nice life, thinking they need something like this to balance out their calm existence... or hidden nut jobs. Not joking.

It definitely is not torture porn, but it is very graphic. Despite its reputation it actually is a very good movie with profound themes

I like The Human Centipede and Hostel films but they’re not on the same level of filmmaking as Martyrs.
Oh jeez, you watched all that... I'm trying to refrain from offensive words.
So what do you mean by a different level, is Martyrs better? I was going to try and watch it, but I'm very afraid. :scat:

I feel like The Human Centipede and Hostel are shocking for the sake of shocking. Martyrs is disturbing and shocking but still manages to tell a profound and compelling story.

Let’s say I find the Centipedes and Hostel movies “entertaining”, from Martyrs I needed 2 days to recover. Very disturbing movie, it gets really under your skin.
