I didn't know what this movie was, until I realized it's from the 'internet' collective "This is a bad idea", that make funny and absurd shorts.
Can't really praise it as something 'new' or extremely unusual and uncomfortable, like I heard some viewers did. I think it 'borrows' a lot from any Evil Dead or Pet Sematary kind of movie.
Maybe for 'western' (read US) audiences, living a mostly comfy, stress free life, this seemed as something intense, but for me it didn't, as I've experienced similar behavior in my own family.
It is very effective though, making me jump at least 3 times, but it could've worked better in a shorter form, like an episode of the Twilight Zone or something, even though I understand the guys wish to present themselves to the film world with a proper full-fledged feature.

Caught this at the weekend. Very good and some great comedic moments from the two leads interactions with each other. Had plenty of the theater laughing but then moments later you could hear a pin drop when the more horrific/freaky parts were ramped up. I think the tonal shifts work really well. Upon reflection I actually can't wait to watch again and hoping for a premium to pick this up down the line.

Holy fúck! Outstanding. Absolute nightmare fuel. That Inde is incredible in this. Probably one of the best performances of the year.

Intense, Great score and loved how the film was lit too. I need this possible steelbook collectors edition ASAP

I wonder how many couples felt uneasy watching this together. The ones that aren’t allowed out lol

The lightning is so good anyway but when she’s completely blacked out and is like a demon. Or sometimes the little bits of light on her face or where just her eyes are kinda glowing and something is off with her face and you can’t quite put your finger on what it is, Is so impactful it’s crazy weird. Or just the way her face is hidden at times. The different pitches of her voice from calm, innocent, playful, aggressive or creepy. And especially the spells where she snaps out of it. And the strange walking backwards or side stepping felt so uneasy. I knew something was going to happen to his mate in the car but f**k me I was not expecting that. Oh and the billion dollars bit was brilliant. Kinda like how the end is a bit Romeo and Juliet inspired too. I also wasn’t expecting the little twist that his mate was originally sleeping with her! What a ride. Bravo
