Ok wow, just realised David Lowry is directing... shocker! Then again I also just remembered he also directed Pete's Dragon, which was actually pretty decent tbf.

Yeah I thought it looked bad. Lowry is the selling point for me. But it don’t look as good as Petes dragon

There is a reason this is going direct to streaming. They don't want to be embarrassed by the box office results.
 
This is another crappy 'reimaginning for modern audiences' that will probably ruin anything good the story had.
