New album? Didn't realise

See you got it signed too, cool

Arcade fire announced their new album last week but I'm sure you heard
Yeah, it just came out on Friday. I prefer their previous two albums, but this one has grown on me and has some great standout tracks. I missed the signed copies on RecordStore.co.uk, but thankfully alt-J put some up on their own webstore.

Yep, heard about Arcade Fire's new album mate... you listened to the new track they released the other day? Foo Fighter's released a new song on the same day too, but I'm sure you've already heard that.

Ahh, I'm behind on that news, I'll have to give it a listen. 1st album is 10/10 (dissolve me is my jam lol)

Yeah I heard it on Thursday and it's a bit dancing queen (abba) lol, first thing that popped in my head and not sure what to think of it. But looking forward to the rest and hopefully it's as good as previous albums

Not massive on Foos but I do love Dave! I have a mate who's mad over them so I'm sure he'll play it to me

Funny thing is I've seen them twice .... In the same day lol - that's when I met them too

Is this one any good? I loved Panic Prevention and thought Kings & Queens was also pretty decent... but I was a bit disappointed with Carry on the Grudge (bar a few tracks).

I love it but then like you I love panic prevention, seriously good album and rate that extremely high as a gem

Wasn't massive on K&Q, loved a few tracks particularly Castro dies

I really liked the 3rd though and liked the new direction because it was opposite to what an artist does when they change direction and try to become bigger. He went more underground in a different way IMO lol

But this album is brilliant, I can't choose what one I prefer out of this and grude though. It a mix of album 3 and 1 to me, has more rap than grudge. Check it out but imagine you won't like it if I love it lol

Their new album is called Relaxer FYI. The first two tracks - 3WW and In Cold Blood - have been released as singles, so I'd already fallen in love with those two... I'm hoping I end up liking the others just as much after a few more listens.

Haha I got an ABBA vibe from it too, and it seems so did many others, because that's all I saw in the Youtube comments lol. I like it though! :D

I was under the impression that you loved Foos after showing me that photo of you with Grohl. Must admit I wasn't sure about their new song at first, but it's grown on me now... it has a pretty funny video too.

I'll defo check out the new alt j album

Ha, yeah really Abba i thought, glad I wasn't alone. Odd choice of sound for them. They are better than that. Much better. Very talented musicians of family and friends

Well I do love grohl because of nirvana so that's why I watched them at the festival I was at (cor about 11 years ago now).
they were headlining a normal set so we were going to watch that as the final Band anyway but because we get backstage tickets all those times i went there was whispers that foos were doing a random one off acoustic set at 1pm under the name "606".
We went along and turned out to be true and tbh they were amazing, I got into them a bit more after that instead of just their singles and classics which is all I knew. I met him just after that. It was better than their standard headline heavy set IMO. Maybe because it was different takes on the songs I had heard a million times

They do have some funny vids, my fav is the one of him and jack black getting battered in a motel room dressing up as women lol

Panic is definitely up there as one of my favourites too! I remember not being impressed with K&Q when it first came out, but they kept playing the songs on the radio at work so I grew to love it lol. I instantly liked Don't You Find from Grudge because it was different, and there are a few other tracks I like... but Zombie and a couple others (can't remember the names) do my head in. Will check out his latest album once I'm sick of alt-J's lol.

For the bits in bold,

That sounds magical....!

Oh, you're not mate, this convo have been great. This side of the forums needs more activity anyways! :D

Same here! Maybe we should have our own thread in the music forum?

It's getting late here, need to get up in a few hours. I'll leave you with this. It's a couple of years old and the vocals kicks as$! Talk later. Take a listen mate:

Sorry for the late reply @spass !

Oh Gosh How could have missed out on this release wow So Dope :smug: that is my Kinda Soul :thumbs::thumbs:

For Liberty City - Some Lovin' the Story is, and I read that in Billboard back then or a DJ mag... but Oscar and Ralf (The Murk Boys) were attending a Baseball Game in Miami and Bebe got to sing the American Anthem as it is customs before a Basebal Game(I think it was something Local) but when they heard her singing they both looked at each other and got up to go meet her. They asked her if she would be interested in recording a single with her, she said yes.

The process was very quick and delivered one of the most beloved Classic House ever... ''They Wrote The Lyrics + The Melody + Recorded in Studio'' all in 3 Days time only !!! :OMG: And if you know Some Lovin' you know that this has a very extensive Lyric...and that was cool learning that when Junior Vasquez Was Playing at the Sound Factory Back Then in NYC and he had 2x 12'' vinyl copy when this hit the clubs and the first night he kept mixing songs within songs for 30 minutes straight... People were going nuts.

And what leaves me puzzled is that they never recorded another song together again, she also to my knowledge never recorded any other House song ever...was never able to obtain more info but for the Following Singles of Liberty City on Tribal America ''If You Really Love Someone'' and ''That's What I Got'' was sang instead by Shauna (the Voice behind Reach For Me ''The Funky Green Dogs from Outta Space'')...so this is very strange but the Tenaglia Remix of it as well are insane !!!
