With his ravishing third feature, visionary director Bi Gan takes his deepest plunge yet into the realm of pure dreamscape. In a world where humans have forsaken dreams in exchange for immortality, a dreaming monster (Jackson Yee) embarks on a shape-shifting odyssey through illusion, beauty, and terror that takes him across a century of cinema and to the end of time. Unfolding in five dazzlingly imagined chapters that encompass everything from silent-era expressionism to film noir to a delirious vampire love story shot in one of Bi’s signature long takes, Resurrection is a work of breathtaking imagination in which cinema is the ultimate portal to the unconscious mind.

I have to say - I'm more than a little disappointed that this is only a 2K release...

RESURRECTION was shot using the DJI Ronin 4D camera system (as confirmed by director Bi Gan and cinematographer Dong Jingsong).
The Ronin 4D records internally in 8K RAW (or up to 6K ProRes in some modes), providing ultra-high-resolution footage well beyond 4K.

Janus films even did screenings with a 4K DCP.....

But they decide to release it on Criterion as a 2K Blu-ray?!!!!!!

If any movie out there deserves a 4K release its this. Would look stunning if the trailer's anything to go by.
My thoughts exactly.
I was a big fan of his previous film LONG DAYS JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, where he did a 60 minute one-take shot in 3D.
In this one- he does a 30 minute one-take shot.
