Just when I was looking at getting rid of the oversized original Film Vault edition in favour of something that actually fits on my shelf.

The only one that I was looking forward to and it turns up dented to F.
Also got Apollo 13, sending that back as well, prefer the 25th anniversary edition with the spot gloss.
Disappointing range from what I have seen with only 2001 being any good.

This, blade runner, and apollo 13 are all matte or zero finish. Decent quality, but nothing mind blowing. The slip helps.

Bizzare it was only 2001 that had a nice spot gloss finish, could've easily done the same on apollo 13 and scarface. Although I can understand why they didn't on shawshank and BR, as there aren't really large single focal points to "spot".

Yeah, sounds about right, I cancelled the ones I ordered in the end and sold the other two. I had pre ordered 5 in total. Weak series of releases that could have been so, so excellent if handled with love. Such a wasted opportunity.
Oh, well. They'll all be released again at some point I'm sure :LOL:

Yet inferior to the German 2019 release, still the best so far.
Dude. That one is near impossible to find, even at an expensive price. €100 minimum. No one wants to give up that steelbook.

(DM if you do :whistle::LOL:)

@AlexC24 agreed, the film vault one is definitely better than the weird purple 4k choice from a couple of years ago. Also better than the odd old UK blu ray steel that had a complete golden/silver wash all over it.
I think there's another decent one though, I believe it's the French/Canadian/Asian version. I might be wrong. I often am.

Glad I have this one in collection, I swapped it with the crappy one in HDzeta lenti.

This Vault range is crap, I cancelled everything except 2001 and Blade Runner, now I see it was good decision....

Oh, I have this one, I remember it laying around on the Amazon for cheap, even going down to less than €17, and I was thinking whether I should get it or not...
