This film has certainly divided opinion here.

I think that the Academy was very astute this year in dividing the top honours between "Spotlight" (Best Picture) and "The Revenant" (Best Director). Both are excellent films with their own distinctive styles and I wouldn't want to be without either in my collection. I'm really glad, therefore, that both titles are getting the special treatment, with a Kimchi edition of the former, and FAC and Manta editions of the latter.

As to this film being a one time viewing experience only, as some here have suggested, I would counter that I saw it three times at the cinema and enjoyed it each and every time. I also saw each of the contemporaneously released films "The Revenant", "The Hateful Eight", "Bridge of Spies" and "Sicario" three times, so it's not a case of me being biased towards this particular film or its genre.

As far as I am concerned, there are only good films and bad films. If it's a good film then it will find a place in my collection, irrespective of its genre.

The Steelbook market is large enough to cater for all tastes.

I quite like type B

I think I'll wait for in hand pics.

But I just can't tell if it will sell out quickly or not due to the title

I hate the way Kimchi have started to cover some of their slips with just text (Compelling, gripping, Unmissable...etc....)

It put me off their Whiplash lenti also.
