I was able to snag a lenti off of ebay for $90 earlier today from a seller who claims to have a copy in-hand. I'm always apprehensive about picking these up from resellers, I somehow feel like I'm being scammed, not necessarily price-wise, but in terms of legitimacy. Call me paranoid but why would someone want to unload a steelbook they just received for what works out to a few bucks above what they paid?

You said it yourself. It could be for whatever reason but it's probably to make money. It's not a few bucks, it's closer to double the retail price and he probably bought more stuff in bulk so it's even more profitable. A lot of people make a lot of money this way. If the seller has good rep and doesn't feel shady you'll probably have your copy no problem. You just paid an extra for it.

Fair enough. So these guys are the reason "regular" people like me can't buy these steelbooks through normal channels? Combine low quantities with resellers snagging bulk copies = not a chance in hell LOL

I always wondered about that, the profit sometimes doesn't exceed 10$, what's the point? But I guess if they buy in bulk... what happened to just getting a productive job instead of trying to become a middleman when it's clearly not needed?
Anyways, just make sure the seller includes the lenti magnet and PET slip. I contacted a reseller last week and he was very ambiguous about including them in the order so I passed

The seller advertised the "gift" items on the listing, which I initially missed in my rush to grab the steelbook. I always look at the feedback ratings and the length of time they've been on ebay so a quick glance at this info told me the guy is OK. I hope
