@zavvi

Can you please tell us why the 4K steelbooks seem to have not been dispatched yet, but we have been charged for them and the 3D steelbooks have been dispatched?

Are they being sent first class as we will NOT be getting our copies on release day?

Your responses here would be very much appreciated by us all.

So some dispatch emails for the 4K and some for the 3D....do you know what I think...they got all the stock late last week due to the Easter holidays and have started sending out emails... it's obvious near all Zavvi staff don't work weekends...i think NO steelbooks have been dispatched yet...and they will all be sent out from Monday!

That's my 2 cents!....and the same with all the Paramount wave that were due for release on Monday!

talk about over thinking something its called dramatic licence and a little bit of overkill with what happened nothing more.
if you keep thinking about every scene like that youll never enjoy any film not every bit has to be over analysed to the point can that happen like that or was there something i missed (e.g. shield)from that guys point of view.

be bit like the luke scene can he really do that? answer course he can hes a jedi and this is star wars:rolleyes::D

Yeah but if you under think something you end up with a sloppy mess just like TLJ is. . The original stars wars are still three of the best films ever made, so Disney giving the director a dramatic license is just insane with trying to rewrite the rulebook on SW. They could of made this film something special but they didn't. Overkill is an understatement, abit like Leia doing the moonwalk :stop: or maybe it was disney way of telling us there is a Mary Poppins 2 coming out.
RO was totally different, a great film and I really enjoyed that no complaints :D

I will not say another word on the subject, it is to depressing to think about :censored::rolleyes:

may the force be with you GIF-downsized.gif

I received my dispatch email for the 4K version yesterday.

However, the estimated delivery date is Wednesday to Friday next week!

Like I said...some, not all dispatch emails have been sent out...but I guarantee NO steelbooks have been sent out yet by Zavvi and won't be until Monday!

Kind of a bold statement to make unless (a) you either work for Zavvi or (b) you are in the most fortunate possession of a crystal ball.

Personally expecting to receive my copy on Monday the 9th April which as everyone and his uncle knows is the releases date ... and, anyway, this being a Zavvi exclusive it's not as if you can walk into a Zavvi store and pick up a copy in person.

Virkia,

It's pretty obvious that these are not going to arrive on Monday....i haven't had a single dispatch email from Zavvi and I have 5 steelbooks including 4 from the Paramount wave scheduled for a Monday release....so please do feel free to let everyone here know when your steelbook does show up....it won't be Monday for sure!

I am fully expecting 5 emails to ping my inbox around first thing tomorrow morning with a Wednesday delivery at the very earliest!.... it's obvious to anyone that Zavvi have taken late delivery of this Monday"s steelbook releases, be it the Easter holidays or whatever!:notworthy:

So Zavvi have confirmed that they haven't sent them out yet...so anybody with a dispatch email from late Friday afternoon...i wouldn't hold your breath!

So we are looking at a Monday dispatch...with delivery on Wednesday (maybe) or more likely Thursday....and you can add the Paramount releases to that as well!

I don't know why Zavvi as a company just can't come out (either here or Twitter or wherever) and just say that the releases are slightly delayed and will be sent out on release day...but we are talking about Zavvi here and their generic copy and paste customer service replies!!:rofl:

I think people need to chill out here, if you have had a despatch notice, your steelbook will have been sent (from Thursday definitely and Friday, providing it was early enough).

I suspect the stock arrived late and just didn't have time to pack every order in time for the last collection by Royal Mail, I don't think there's any more to it.., blame Disney for getting the stock out late, not zavvi.

It been common knowledge for some months now, that Zavvi and Disney have had a contract to supply and it stipulates that Zavvis steelbooks should arrive by release date and not any earlier. Zavvi confirmed that with me many months back and I posted their reply on this site. And others have mentioned this as well...

What confused people then, is having despatch emails early, but steels still not arriving until release date, the reason for this is simple, they were marked as shipped as they were packaged/scanned and then just put in a holding area until Friday before release and handed over to the Royal Mail, all together.

What I don't know is what the RM's collection times are, so can't judge if late Friday afternoon shipping emails where actually sent or not.

But one thing I'm sure of, Thursday shipments will arrive on Monday, and if they don't, then let the gates of hell be opened and reign all over zavvi HQ...

Correct
Disney often fine retailers where items with release date restriction are in place are ignored
This can be financial fine but most often what they do is reduce the amount of stock provided before release date and in some cases not deliver any stock till after release date if there has been repeat number times of customers getting delivery before release date

It's only affects releases that have a release date restriction not all new releases have this restriction

It's also not unusual for some retailers to not get delivery of all stock ordered before release date but get a small amount of stock instead than expected for various reasons due to problems with transport and warehouse issues dispatching stock to retailers with rest of stock delivered later

So what MrYfronts and Paulboland are saying is it's ok for a major retailer to hold back stock UNTIL release day so customers get the item maybe 3-4 days after the actual release date!...how is that in any way acceptable....Disney should ensure that ALL stock ordered is delivered in plenty of time for Zavvi to charge people's cards, pack and dispatch the items and IF there is a delivery restriction in place for Royal Mail to deliver on release day that should be made clear as well...i have not even had a dispatch email for my 4K steelbook yet or any of the Paramount wave due for release tomorrow...hell I can go to Tesco"s tomorrow morning and pick up the 4K so how in any way is it acceptable for Zavvi to say it will be delivered between Wednesday and Friday this week!!! 2-4 days after release...what if it was a birthday present or something!....unacceptable and Zavvi should let their customers know if an item is NOT coming on release day!...no wonder they cleared out of here!!
