I so wish Disney would swap their Marvel releases with SW so SW could go back to the summer. I mean SW had the month of May sewn up decades before Marvel was making movies. Watching a new SW movie in December just doesn't feel right to me.

Hey if they go out of business I'd probably be fine with that too lol. Another company would definitely come along then.

I'm not sure why MR went under. But I think the guys that are running EFX are the same guys from MR, and considering they are having a hard time delivering product to their customers, that may have been the same problem with MR. I'm wondering how much longer people are going to wait for their Biker Scout helmets before they try to get a class action lawsuit going. Its now been 2 and a half years since it went up for order .

I agree, this weather is awful. I'm not even sure my car will make it to work tomorrow! They already canceled school.

I just got back from Rogue One, so much to talk about! You and Lou need to see it! There were some people there wearing stormtrooper helmets, I've decided I need one, ha. These guys were hanging out in the lobby:

The movie starts off a little slow, but the end is fantastic. There's one scene I especially know you'll enjoy. The characters were all good for the most part. Jyn was a lot different than Rey, but I still liked her. I think my wanting that PF is the same. K-2SO was awesome. You'll have to let me know what you think of Krennic since I know you were looking forward to his character. The Tarkin CGI was kind of a miss. I need to see it again because I feel like I missed stuff. It's a great segue into episode IV.

LMAO! That actually makes me feel really good that people are finally starting to send SS a message with their wallets. I'm sure this will be another SW piece with a low ES because of it. I think I'm leaning towards the Rey PF over Jyn just because it makes more sense for me to focus on core Saga characters. But I do like Jyn's outfit a lot better than Rey's rags. Although if I really end up liking her in the movie maybe I might even prioritize her over Rey.

Right as him and Vader are about to square off Darth Maul shows up and they have an epic three way battle.

I'm still on the Rey PF having priority since I'm a big fan of hers...plus she comes with BB-8! In fact I will say I liked TFA more than Rogue One simply because of how much I liked the new characters (Rey, Finn, Kylo) plus it had all the original cast. Rogue One was still awesome though. Whoa, did they say she was going to include BB-8 now? I thought they were going to sell him separately for like $450? TFA was great! I loved all of the new characters. From what I've seen from the trailers alone the characters from R1 looked cool, but they don't do it for me like Rey, Finn and Kylo. I did find myself wanting to see more out of Poe from TFA though. Obviously I shouldn't really try to compare characters just from a trailer verses from a movie I've actually seen, but the TFA trailers did have me a bit more interested in the characters than R1's trailers.

I still think there might be an issue with SS making the heads out of poly thats preventing them from achieving the likenesses and paintjobs that HT can deliver on their sculpts. I'm not planning to order anything else until SDCC. I want to see whats coming with SW, I want to see Rey & BB-8 pricing, and I want to see whats coming from Marvel and DC. Like you said its almost pointless to preorder anymore since you can get everything much under retail on eBay when the stuff comes out.

Poe was totally the Wedge character! I was expecting a lot more out of him, but I think in VIII he's going to get a much bigger role. So where would you rank Rogue One as far as your favorite movies from this year?

Its not that bad. I still have Pfeiffer Catwoman, Kylo, and Jango coming in the meantime. I might get R2 also, I still didn't get him. A couple weeks ago SS had $50 off it with free shipping and that still isn't enough. Everytime I look at it I see the price and realize I can get a full size PF for only a $100-ish more, or maybe even less than a $100. I'm really having a hard time spending anything over $250 for it, if I'd even go that high.

I'm just realizing its stupid to preorder stuff so far in advance. Nothing sells out anymore, and if I tie up funds for flex payments on stuff thats months/years out then I can't impulse buy in-stock items. Now that I think about that its probably not a good idea to have extra funds laying around lol.

True, you can get Rey without BB8. I just liked BB8 so I think I would want him if I got Rey. But you're right I'm sure the little droid will be at least $200 and made of plastic. Sigh. That R2 price is definitely hard to take. I saw the life size R2 is like $7K. I don't know where they come up with these prices. The 1:2 scale R2 is basically the size of a PF and is insanely priced. I know we've talked about this before, but it still blows my mind!

Out of all the movies I saw this year? Well I can say the only movies I saw this year and wanted to immediately rewatch were Deadpool, Dr. Strange, and Rogue One. I need to watch it again before I can answer that question, ha.

I actually had Sideshow refund my money on the Lex Luthor PF since it got pushed back so far. They gave me my NRD back too because of the ridiculous wait. On the one hand it sucks having money tied up in flex payments, but it also makes them more affordable only having to pay $50/month instead of $500 in a single pop!

I would definitely keep collecting Superman and Green Lantern PFs if/when they make them. I guess I'm hoping XM delves into those characters, if they do Superman villains like they've done Spider-Man villains I would be super happy! I just got a little too excited and decided I needed every DC character and now I'm rethinking that.

I looked at those 1:2 scale Star Wars statues, they are pretty sweet. Which ones are catching your eye? I keep hoping they don't make a Superman in that scale, he would be the only character that would make me break into the 1:2 scale realm. How could you justify spending $2K on a statue though? That's a whole other level from XM!

If I would have preorderd Commander Cody when he went up, and they would have tried pulling a year long delay on it, they would have never heard the end from me. Hope Lex won't be the same delay.

Maybe SS will get back to doing the rest of their DC line someday. I'm sure in the meantime they are looking for every variant of Batman possible to do first . I hope XM won't be the same way.

The only 1:2 Star Wars one I'd consider is the upcoming Vader, depending how he turns out. They had his left arm hiding in his cape when they showed him at SDCC. I'm thinking thats because that arm isn't finished and will end up having his saber. But I'd still have to see how it looked, as the saber hilt on their 1:2 Maul was so out of scale with the rest of him it looked like he was holding a tree trunk. But the 1:2's I really want are the BvS Supes and Batman from Prime 1 . $2K a piece is just so expensive!

I'm sure XM will kick off their line with Batman, Joker, and Superman. Then I'm sure it will be onto WW, Flash, Green Lantern, and Batman villains. I hope I'm wrong though! Flash is long overdue for DC fans. And I can only imagine how epic a XM Hawkman would be.

I'm sure Vader won't come in a penny under $2499. They might go as high as $3000 for him, but I think there are a lot of people that were waiting for only him in this scale, and if they go that high most of them will just pass altogether. I mean thats $1K more than a Prime 1 1:2, and I bet their quality far exceed's SS's.

Whoa! Thats a pretty big storm. I definitely won't be seeing or hearing any motorcycles around here till at least March if not April. From now on it will either be below freezing, below zero, or below zero with a wind chill thats super below zero.

I think with SW its safe to say all of the new movies will receive a ridiculous amount of advertising. I'm seeing that SW commercial for the Nissan Rouge more than anything though. Thats on at last once every half hour.

I'm stoked to see Tarkin again!

Thats why I love only being the casual collector. If I was so uptight about screen accuracy I don't think I'd be having any fun collecting. Those people sure love to try to suck the fun out of all the SW licensed collectibles communities, thats for sure.

We get alot of Tarkin in this. I was very surprised and happy about it.

You know, with as much advertising we got for this, it really didn't give much away.

We got lucky here yesterday and had a break from the freezing rain and snow, so got in a quick 30 mins ride thankfully. Supposed to snow and rain for the next week at least. It sucks!

Man you're crazy to be out on your bike, I don't even want to leave my house in this weather! Our low on Friday is -22, I can't wait, ha ha.

I'm so excited for Thursday, happy to hear that people went to the premiere said it was great. Do critic reviews come out tomorrow? I don't ever watch commercials so I still haven't seen any more than I watched in that last trailer quite a while ago.



What? I need my helmets perfect. I get out my protractor and ruler to measure all the dimensions and if it's not perfect than I send it back...and post all over the internet about how inaccurate it is. And how cool I am for knowing how inaccurate it is. Ha ha, I guess I shouldn't talk since I've freaked out about how terrible I think superhero costume designs are when they change them.

I don't know if I could handle -22, lol! It was 29 yesterday when I went out.

Woooooo! OMG thats going to be terrible. Our coldest day in the forecast is Sunday which is supposed to be -12. Right now its a balmy 11 degrees out.

I'm definitely going to read the critics reviews, but I never really put any stock into what they say. I usually find myself completely disagreeing with them more than half of the time.

I always know the exact number of stitches in each screen worn piece of clothing, and if they release something that is missing even one I am the first one to let the world know all about it! How dare any of these so called "fans" not know every millimeter of detail of their so called favorite characters. These are not true fans they are posers!

I haven't read any reviews.

The last picture makes it seem like we may get K-2SO as well.

The Jyn PF is what I want out of a mixed media statue. I'm just not 100% on the sculpt especially for a $500 statue. I'm sure I'll get one, just not sure when.

It's awful! Especially in my front wheel drive car. I don't think Disney will stop the December movie times anytime soon. I remember driving on snowy roads to the movie last year as well. Although we had a pretty mild winter after December last year.

MR shot themselves in the foot when the re-released all their limited props again for their Elite line. The new line was supposedly built out of better materials, but people weren't willing to pay what they were asking for. Kinda what SS is doing now, however, SS is smart by distributing other products to keep them afloat. No one wants to see them crumble more than me I think, but with all their licenses and distribution, I doubt they will.

I just got back from Rogue One, so much to talk about! You and Lou need to see it! There were some people there wearing stormtrooper helmets, I've decided I need one, ha. These guys were hanging out in the lobby:

Nice! I had to wait until today. Didn't want to see it without my wife. Her and I have made every SW movie together since we've been together. It was a matinee so the theater was practically empty just the way I like it!

I can't even contain myself right now! That last 2 minutes especially!

Now that we've all seen it, I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!! So amazing! My eyes were so full of tears at the end of the movie, I couldn't even see the credits. This really tapped into my childhood. All those feelings of ANH came back and nailed me right in the feels. By far the most emotional Star Wars movie I've seen.

Baze and Chirrut were the standouts for me. Was hard to see them go down. Actually felt that way about all the characters. Jyn and Cassian on the beach was a beautiful scene.

I also love how Krennic was destroyed by the very weapon he helped create.

Tarkin, Leia, and various other Rebels put in the movie was so well done. That space battle along with the ground battle was just so epic! That Hammerhead ship pushing one star destroyer into the other, epic!

Love how Saw was a friend of the family. Heartbreaking how he went out especially how he survived the Clone Wars.

Vader! OMG! It was like a scene out of a horror movie! This unstoppable being killing everyone in his path down that hall!

I'm sure Vader won't come in a penny under $2499. They might go as high as $3000 for him, but I think there are a lot of people that were waiting for only him in this scale, and if they go that high most of them will just pass altogether. I mean thats $1K more than a Prime 1 1:2, and I bet their quality far exceed's SS's.

We got lucky here yesterday and had a break from the freezing rain and snow, so got in a quick 30 mins ride thankfully. Supposed to snow and rain for the next week at least. It sucks!

The Jyn PF is what I want out of a mixed media statue. I'm just not 100% on the sculpt especially for a $500 statue. I'm sure I'll get one, just not sure when.

I'm glad we can talk about it now! I agree with everything you said. That end scene on the beach was just fantastic. The entire end fight was amazing to me especially since they all knew they were going to die. Their sacrifice was a story worth being told. Jyn didn't want anything to do with a cause at the beginning so I loved that her character grew that much.

Krennic was kind of a weakling, I was wondering if Josh was going to be disappointed in him, ha. Definitely awesome that he was killed by his own weapon. Did you like the CGI on Tarkin and Leia? I thought it was a little off. How cool was it that they had unused footage to get the X-Wing pilots into the movie?? Did you noticed they really focused on Red Five being killed? That end battle was just awesome, I love my space battles!

I think Cassian actually might have been my least favorite of the group. I'd have to watch it again, but I couldn't even remember his name after the movie so he didn't stand out much to me. I loved K-2SO, his humor fit in well and wasn't over the top.

I was rollin' at the part where they were trying to put a bag over Chirrut's head . I'd say I liked Jyn just about as much as Rey. I instantly knew that Vader scene was the scene you were talking about. That scene was like a childhood dream come true! I am bummed there was no Batman though . I have to deduct 5 points from the overall score because of it lol.

I actually liked Krennic LOL. I thought he had a couple good scenes with Tarkin, and I thought getting killed by the Death Star was a fitting way for him to go.

I thought Tarkin's CGI was pretty good. Not 100% in ever scene, but for creating an actor thats been dead for more than 20 years I was really impressed. I think in another 5 years from now that technology will be pretty much perfected. I think Leia looked good, but not as good as Tarkin. It was really awesome seeing Threepio and Artoo in this also. I thought they were going to save them for the last shot though.

The X-Wing pilots were a complete surprise for me! I literally never thought of them in this. Also it was awesome to see Doctor Evazan and Ponda Baba as well.

Okay, so no one wants to talk about freaking Darth Vader's Castle??? They totally pulled that out of the old canon and recanonized it this time on Mustafar. That was so freaking awesome! And its making me want a stand alone Vader movie even more!

So I really think after this movie that they need to release the original trilogy with Han shooting Greedo first. I mean if they can have Cassian cold bloodedly shooting an ally in the back then they need to fix that Han scene! I like how they blurred the lines with the rebels showing that they've done some terrible stuff as well...

I just wanted to know what those stormtroopers said because it sounded like they mentioned they were decommissioning something and I thought maybe they were referencing their blasters...which would explain why they can't hit anything, ha ha.

So my nephew used to be super into dinosaurs and he always wanted these Jurassic World lego sets. I wanted to get him Star Wars legos for Christmas, but got him this TRex set. Today he was over and said he doesn't really play with dinosaurs anymore and would rather have Star Wars legos. I immediately unwrapped his present, went to the store and got the clone turbo tank set, ha ha.
