For those based in Canada it's a trade wide release not a Amazon Exclusive

Ah nice, if it had been mentioned before I'd forgotten but it's nice to see the use of spot gloss and the entirety of the original poster is gloss.

Nice set imo

He's such a... don't have a word for it – a poser, a hypocrite? – been always saying how special, limited editions don't matter, how people that buy them are toxic, that main thing for him is 'the movie', but once companies started to send him those LEs, first ViaVision, then some others, it turned out he's just never seen, had, or touched any of them, and now he's excited and loves them.

I think you/we need to think that many of us (if not all), get into buying physical media because of the movies/series themself, and just after that, if they happen to purchase one or two of the „different” kind of packaging, then they become hooked and start buying them specifically, ending up being „collectors”.

I think I can still recall when I purchased my first SteelBook (can't recall just now which movie was)... but I was „sold” for the medium.
Also, for those „Neo case” from which I only have two, the My Fair Lady and Gone With The Wind, but could not find any others...

So, in the end, MAYBE he is some sort of the same... but was first and foremost keen on the movies themselves, getting them no matter what medium (I think he say something about VHS and VideoDisk?!?).
But yeah, sometimes when seeing such persons get such WONDERFUL editions, UNDAMAGED and EARLY than anyone, let alone not appreciating it at is true value, could be annoying and nerving.
