UK cut is the proper version anyhoo so its all good
Literally the very last scene (which i wont spoil just in case folks haven't seen it) was cut from the US version because Hollywood loves a happy ending. So there is about a minute missing from the US version. UK version is the complete cut, bleak ending and all.
Thanks. I remember the ending, I loved it. Cutting that is a bad move imo. I agree then, the UK is much superior.

Yeah just seen it. Hopefully the same for this UK release.
I just managed to order one on HMV. Went straight to sold out after. I don't trust Amazon's stock check, so I'm glad I managed to grab one elsewhere.
Nice and clean though. Should look good with the artwork. I do like that 'zero finish' shine!
Well, it beats matte anyway lol it can still be a bit streaky on dark steels though.
Zero sounds fine? Considering we were expecting no slip and matte a few days ago it's hard to see this as anything other than a huge win and it has the added bonus of meaning the demand for the US version should ease off. Assuming of course it's not going to stay sold out in the UK.

Why on earth would they not announce that three days ago?
So weird and unnecessary...unless its another oversight and the community shouting has changed the distributors mind? Could be but I doubt it as the steelbook was selling fine without the slip.

Depends on tolerance, location and place of birth. They're part and parcel for me. Physical media has always had them as long as I've been breathing. It's not even there anymore as far as I'm concerned.
Surely it's better to have a release with them on than none at all. Laws the law. Unless everyone starts a rebellion over age ratings, I don't see it ever changing on the UK. Been like this for 40 some years
If you prefer them without. Simple enough. Grab it elsewhere.
