Wow, you guys wrote a whole novel, I stopped reading around the top of previous page.

@choochoonesme I'll be honest for everyone here, or at least for myself: I don't like casual people who are late getting something easily.
I don't like them getting it cheaper.
I like when less collectors have something limited that I do. Period. Simple. :naughty:

Sure okay @paulboland simply reiterating the corporate end user agreement waffle here simply doesn't cut it. It's utter BS and companies shouldn't be allowed to lie and bend the truth. Keep the exclusive documentary off the later release - as they had been doing. But no. Shiity move adding it and stating it was Exclusive.
This crap has to stop.
In fact I'm going to contact them about this. It's proper triggered me

AND. They're charging what amounts to £35 less for this box set as opposed to £29.99+ £29.99+ £34.99 for the individuals.

Utter BS move and I've lost all respect for Arrow now.
You're assuming Arrow have total control over what they can put out on a title. Good example. Kino had spend a lot of time doing running commentaries for their Columbo sets. At the last minute, they were told they couldn't be included by Universal. Cost them serious sales.

It eventually comes down to the simplest case of retailer customer transparency.

Not much else really. I love Arrow. I felt let down. Now I'm over it.

And there I am. On to the next thing. Twas a momentary transiency in time.

To anyone picking this up due to missing out on the individual releases....
You're in for a real treat....
I'd be all over this if I didn't have the individuals...
I attempted to watch the dollars trilogy few months back. I have the Limited individual arrow releases. I got as far as around 45-50 mins in to Fistful and turned it off... I can count on one hand how many movies I've done that with. Should I push myself to revisit and finish the movie at least or do you think just not for me? I do tend to like Westerns like I adore Once Upon a Time in the West and I really like Unforgiven and plenty of Clints movies in general... I just couldn't get into this at all. I'm not sure the dubbing helps and my expectations were high... I found myself bored tbh.

I know I'm in the minority and people rave about these movies but even the music just wasn't it for me. Once Upon a Time in The West has a glorious score and I'd heard on par with this trilogy? I didn't hear it

Push through it in my opinion...
One of the few examples of sequels improving on the previous movies..
A fistful of dollars is the weakest for me and always felt like for a few dollars more was the strongest but the good the bad and the ugly is up there as an absolute classic. Just make sure you watch the original cut and not the awful restored cut. For me the showdowns in for a few dollars more and the good the bad and the ugly are two of the finest moments in movie history...
Also, the greatest movie scores ever as well...

Okay mate, that's probably exactly what I needed to hear to try again. I'm holding you personally responsible if it goes wrong though

I take full responsibility...
Some things just don't work for some people. These are the only dubbed movies that I'm ok with and it just seems to add to the appeal oddly...
A late Saturday night viewing with a few beers and any of the three movies is a highly recommended event...
After that, you're on you're own and beyond help if you still don't get it... :naughty:

The dubbing is such a part of these films I barely recognise it anymore. Love it.
Like the Hong Kong films of my youth.

Every single Italian film was pretty much over dubbed back then. Sync sound wasn't especially common and it kept costs down. Italian films were very popular in other countries so dubbing them in local dialects was a huge deal for profits and popularity. They also used a lot of foreign actors in their films especially French and German, of course for example here it's US actors, so a good deal of these actors spoke the dialogue in their own language and the local actors spoke in Italian. It was later over dubbed per region. Hence the glorious feel and sound of the dub.
This probably went on well into the late 70s in Italy. In Hong Kong, non syncsound went on long into the 90s for the same reasons as well as the difficulty with noise pollution on Hong Kong Island from the constant barrage of Planes overhead. If you've ever been to HK, that place is SO loud
