Yep and yep. If not the weekend before the Monday release, then definitely the day of release depending on your UK location and postal service quality. They send Royal Mail 48hrs tracked in a decent cardboard envelope.

Royal Mail 48hrs tracked.
I think in over 150 orders , I've only ever received one later than release day and even then it was only the day after.

I got a dispatch email this afternoon! So cool that it may arrive even before the weekend! I think I'll be sticking to HMV in the future!

One thing you have to understand with HMV. When they say dispatched, it means it's just received the postal id dispatch number.
It'll almost always remain in their warehouse unitil collection in bulk with all the others.

Until you receive that 48hr tracking number via email from Royal Mail, it won't have left their storeroom. I've had a dispatch notice early most times. It doesn't usually get collected via the courier until Thursday evening or Friday.
Don't expect anytime before Saturday or release day on Monday. They're the two days they usually arrive on.

Don't think in all my purchases i've ever had one turn up on the Friday before release. Always Sat or Mon.

Yep. Mines the same.
You'll get a Royal Mail notification email tonight or tomorrow no doubt. It's perfectly normal. Always like this. It may way still turn up tomorrow and/or Monday. No need to worry at all.

Ah fingers crossed yours arrives tomorrow then mate!
I've had a look at mine and even though HMV emailed on Tuesday, Royal Mail is showing it was dispatched in Wednesday. As it's a day after yours, I wonder if mine will be picked up by Royal Mail tomorrow. Fingers crossed soon ha! Thanks again for the update mate!

I got my dispatch email on Tuesday and it still says they're waiting for it, but others items that are releasing on the same day are alreayd at Royal Mail and will be delivered Monday. They were sent yesterday...

Always get my HMV releases the Saturday before the Monday release date. Not today however... perhaps it's an RM thing.
