If these are the final products, then they just look like dirt cheap. A piece of scratchy acryllic and a plain black cardboard cutout? I reckon my nephew could knock together something better for a school project.

didnt buy the motherbox for the hdzeta one clicks and will also skip these 2 motherboxes.
the HDZ LOTR motherbox is really nice, well made, reasonably sturdy (like The Dark Knight trilogy one), with loads of spot gloss, nice artwork inside and out, and raised lettering. some time has been spent on it. i like the cut out silhouette idea, but not sure about this blufans version yet. :watch:

I hope that ugly black lump that covers half the window can be removed, otherwise I got the HDZeta box, and would like this one as well.

I bet they'll make one for The 'Hobbitses' as well...

Nice, but for mine, the glue on teh back came undone. Guess I can get some book glue to fix it, but kinda aggravating that it came undone just sitting on a shelf.

tbh, mine is not on display currently due to space issues, so i'll keep an eye out for that. sometimes i find glue gets affected by the ambient temperature of the room something is in - or it could just be poor manufacture, and the set was hardly cheap, so you should expect quality. hope you get it sorted.

I did think all steelbook collectors (even the collectors in eccentric costume) would have proper installed refrigeration to stop steels rusting or packaging falling apart from melted glue.

In all seriousness, no product should falter like you've said. I'd be pretty annoyed. Actually I've still got mine in it's original covering in storage too (but I did open it), so I should go and check it's all a-ok. Yes it will be disappointing if it isn't, but I'll at least know it was perishable.

Good luck in repairs, hope you find a solution.

It is possible that weather played a part, but when i look at it, some spots there’s just a dark spot where glue, presumably, once was. But aside from that, it’s fine and eventually I’ll look up the best way to handle it, since there also are spots where there’s dried glue and I don’t know if I should remove it first and if so how to do it…but I’ll worry about it when I get to it.

Don't worry, it's 'normal'. Some of my Nova OC Box Sets are coming loose also. It's the tension on the glued parts which cause them to come loose. Good reason to keep 'm sealed ;)

Sure these things shouldn't be falling apart within just a few years but at the same time, it's just glue. Easily fixed, infact this thread reminded me to go buy some PVA glue.

Some live in excessively humid climate, like Florida, so their things tend to fall apart, and get laser rot, and smell, worse than others...
