They're really not even trying anymore are they.
At least it kinda matches the first 
Like I get it, it's supposed to be Rosalina's storybook which is from the game (and Nintendo released a physical version of the book late last year which I got for my son). But it does still look and feel lazy given how the first one ended up and given the options they have available for this to be something that really stands out.
They already did that with the last movie, we went from a Mushroom to a Question block. I'm guessing Galaxy will be star to... I dunno, a feather? Fire flower?
Some of the poster art looks great, incredibly vibrant for both films and even the knock off customs look great.
Dreadful. Wish they would put the theatrical poster artwork on the steel. Guess they can't as that gets used on the amaray and slipcase. So frustrating with these dogshit artworks on steels.

Well, to be fair Mario is an incredibly obscure character with complicated lore... but what's that got to do with the simple steel design?
We know it's the storybook and part of the story of the film, but it's a boring image.
Any of those would've been great and a huge upgrade on that thing. They can stick it up Yoshi's ass.
Welp, I despise this ugly as Ai artwork. So I ended up ordering the bootleg Mario Galaxy Steelbook.
Not too upset as I ordered the Boys S5 Steelbook and got both for $20 each including shipping which seems fair.
