Really? Have you been living under a rock for the past 5 years? Daniel Day Lewis won Best Actor in 2008 for his portrayal in the film which is his best performance to date and blows Lincoln out of the water.

No Country for Old Men and There Will be Blood are considered amongst the top 3 films of the decade 2000 - 2010. I get saying you havn't watched it, but never even heard of it?? Surprising considering you're on a forum related to film.

That year was an impeccable year for revisionist Westerns - as you said, the Coen Brothers' No Country For Old Men and P T Anderson's There Will Be Blood, but also Andrew Dominik's The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. All three are masterpieces in mine and many people's opinions, but for me There Will Be Blood is the most powerful and complete of the three. A huge shame I had to let this steelbook go as it was damaged (still yet to be refunded, Zavvi) but glad people who got it are enjoying the film as much as the steelbook. For once a film that is worthy of the great artwork it has been adorned with.

After the "sorry your steelbook has not been sent yet" Zavvi cancelled my order without notice. Not even an email

I asked them what the hell the story is and they have not even bothered to reply yet

I'm so disappointed

Same happened with me, so I complained.

They got back to me inside 24 hours and explained why it had been cancelled and that I had received a 10% off voucher to make up for it.

I hadn't received a voucher so complained again that I hadn't received notification nor a voucher.

Their reply insisted that I had been sent a voucher.

I complained again listing every spam email I had received from them on the day in question and they agreed to send it again (citing an internal server problem) .

It arrived 2 days later (a letter sent 1st class would have arrived faster than this email) . It was basically a cancellation email with a voucher to cheer you up on it.

I used it for 10% off winter soldier :D

So complain until they send you the voucher they should have sent when they cancelled.

Opened my steelbook last night and watched this movie for the first time. (yes. the first time)

Was loving every second of it for the first hour+...

real spoiler...
but then about half way through it took a rather strange turn and it became less about oil and more about how insanely cold hearted and mean he was (Daniel Day Lewis). And even the ending was, imo, unsatisfactory. I dunno. Seriously before the half way point, I couldn't wait til I was finished so I could watch it again. But now I'm not sure how I feel about it. He was a effing bastard in every sense of the word and his character became less and less interesting as the movie played on. it just got awkward. oh well. whatever. nice steelbook though. :dunno:

That was the point of the movie and the ending was perfect..its an anti-capitalism movie and shows how greed turned monopolists and robber barons into nasty people during the Gilded Age...you should read the book its based on "Oil!" Its a classic

I agree the ending was unsatisfactory. But apart from that it will brilliant IMO
