Deadline brings word that Underworld franchise creator Len Wiseman is bringing the horror series to television with his production company Sketch Films and Sony Television.
“The series will be a pretty big departure from the films,” Wiseman tells the outlet.
“I don’t want to say it’s more adult, but it’s definitely less comic book in its tone and character.”
The series doesn’t currently have a home, but Wiseman hopes for the series to land on premium cable or a digital service. Wiseman will executive produce the Underworld TV series alongside Lakeshore Entertainment’s Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Eric Reid.
