Hey all,

Use this thread to chat about all things steelbook. Chat away ...

In an undetermined amount of time (when I need to submit GB addresses) I will then conduct the giveaway via random.org using the Post #s in this thread.

Your entries could be 1 (if you post 1 time) or 100 if you post 100 times.

At that time, I will figure out who wins the free DL TDK Blufans Edition. If you already bought the DL, you will get yours for free as I will refund you. ;)

I will host the giveaway LIVE on my IG by rolling the virtual dice first, if it lands on 5 then I will randomize the numbers 5 times and whatever # it lands on that post count # is the winner.

Jeez I didn't expect half of you to get so hormonal. So when you guys get damaged steelbooks, you just keep it? Hell no, I'm gonna go and fight with customer service for justice lol

No way, my mom would have beat my ass if I was stealing!
Imagine your mom is halfway around the world, an ocean away, on another continent, and you're 16.

I can’t believe you asked that and positioned it as a better subject, then admitted you’ve stolen at all, let alone a commodity that a lot of us actually pay a lot of money for, and then that @GroundDigger admitted his gross and quite scummy behaviour, to be honest.

This has all become a bit distasteful to be honest.

Haha, I admit nothin'!

It is better, though, 'cause it's fun, and interesting. A caper!
No private 'mom & pop' stores were harmed.

No, you just made it sound like you lie intentionally, which is what I thought.
Of course Amazon is such a big company, that does many much worse things to people and small businesses, that it shouldn't be a problem.

I do admit I need to sometimes exaggerate. The thing that I always say is "I'm a collector and this is useless to me with the damage."
I display my steelboks and the sight of a bent or a scratch makes me go nuts.
It is their fault also. They sometimes ship the steelbooks in envelopes. Are you kidding me? It's going to be flown across the ocean and will be handled by a ton of people along the way.
So if I see the slightest damage, I'm making sue I get my refund. So that's why I said it's "technically" stealing even though I'm not like going into a store and shoplifting

Reactions: Lenny Nero
And I bet @Lenny Nero and @GroundDigger also complain about the cost of premiums going up, and wonder why…

Or moan about car insurance renewals getting more expensive, yet are quick to claim for whiplash when they get tapped from behind.

You 2 are the problem, and can both get in the sea!

So after complaining about the damage and get the refund, what do you do with the steelbook? Return it or keep it?

Yeah, we 2 stole so much stuff, the whole world's economy is down the toilet.
Or maybe it's the social experiment of how high the public will jump, and how many panties will put on their dumb face, when told so? Hmm.

I'm driving for 25 years since 15, and I pay assholes, when I hit them from behind, because they were too much of a wuss their whole lives, and on that junction that day included, stopping suddenly for a car a mile away. They fix all their previous dents, that were there before, on my behalf, like just happened last month.

Alright, I'll tell ya. It were the first months of DVD, they were all $35-40. I was a relatively poor student, but I'm not going to tell you that's the reason. I just wanted them. And after I got them, I didn't even watch most of them, sold them, or profited from them.
We had a planned operation with a friend. We'd walk around, choose what we like, make a list. Then one day, and one day only, one would go, peel off those beeping things - they were conveniently outside the packaging - and put them back on racks and shelves. Then another would go in, and pick those prepared DVDs. Even bought 1 first, then put others in the same bag, and walk out. Did that once in one day, 3 Virgin Megastores around Los Angeles County. I had a GMC Jimmy, we were standing in a parking lot, somewhere in the desert, looking at the open back door, all those piles of DVDs spread over the cargo area... felt like after a great heist, like in Mamet's Heist, or Soderberg's Ocean's 11 - only they hadn't come out then. It's just a fun memory, that I'm glad to have, rather than not.

Ok here's another attempt to switch to a better topic: What's the most expensive 'ugly' steelbook you own?
That must be the recent Invisible Man from Zavvi/EverythingBlu, as other, older ugly steelbooks didn't cost more, than $20-30. Although maybe with inflation over 15 or so years...
Another contender would be a steel for 10, Cloverfield Lane.

Are you talking about the 2020 Invisible man movie? I got confused cuz they also recently released the 1933 movie in steelbook
