Hey all,

Use this thread to chat about all things steelbook. Chat away ...

In an undetermined amount of time (when I need to submit GB addresses) I will then conduct the giveaway via random.org using the Post #s in this thread.

Your entries could be 1 (if you post 1 time) or 100 if you post 100 times.

At that time, I will figure out who wins the free DL TDK Blufans Edition. If you already bought the DL, you will get yours for free as I will refund you. ;)

I will host the giveaway LIVE on my IG by rolling the virtual dice first, if it lands on 5 then I will randomize the numbers 5 times and whatever # it lands on that post count # is the winner.

No kidding, I picked those up at my local Sainsbury's in something like a 2 for £30 type offer. I then Used Nectar points to get the 3rd for free!

Couldn't believe my luck to find those in a super market and then at such a price :woot:
Wow, you see an extra copy of The Dark Knight in particular? It appears I only got the first and the third UHD digibooks, and second one only the French and Spanish BD ones...

Last The Dark Knight edition I bought, was this trilogy 9 years ago.
Hard box contains a letter from Nolan, hardcover digibook with cardboard holders for discs, a really nice, wide, 48-page large format artbook, 5 large villain art cards, three small bat-vehicle models, and an exclusive 6th bonus disc with 100+ minute documentary and interview still not included anywhere else.
This is a US version, but it was released elsewhere as well (UK, Germany, etc).

Was all 3; Begins, DK, Rises.

Judging by the crazy pricing I'm not sure my local supermarket knew what they were selling.

That’s an incredible deal! When did you get this?

A couple of them are still available on HMVs website.

apropos of nothing, i probably popped for this bit of action more than any in the cinema. the fact that the wheels could more sideways completely - i thought was just the coolest, still do.

Have any of you ever passed on the steel of a movie you really loved? I beg for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but hated the pop art so much I just couldn't pull the trigger. It would be awesome for someone like Manta to get ahold of that. Sadly we've only had that one offering.

Probably not, if love the movie, but more secondary films, sure.
'Poop' art is usually the definition of an ugly steelbook, though Mondo steels are trying hard to earn 1st spot. They're basically poop-art, minus the minimalism.

I bought my share of poop, just because as a series they looked kind of OK, and were cheap.

Here's Italian series from Koch Media, only got 6 out of 12-13 they made, the small element or item, that's on the disc's art, is just repeated inside and on a clean back, so wheel shape for Locke, bullet holes for Lawless, etc.

Or this Universal series from Canada (probably released in the US as well):

I like (not love) No Time to Die and have all the other Bond steelbooks, but I doubt I'll ever buy that turd of a steelbook they put out.
