Why are you inserting yourself into other people's debates. If they want to rant or discuss the situation then let them do it. Why are you criticizing people for that?
You're the one who brought the bins into it mate. Lol
Jesus... you people.

I'm done with this now. You stay bitter and i'll see you @ the next group buy :thumbs:

Crisis happens. People discuss/vent. People jump in and then start complaining about this using obscure references to compare situations. You question the comparisons the person makes then you are the accused of ranting about nonsense even though said accuser brought it up. Person can't defend the points he brings up then leaves calling you bitter lol.

For the record, I'm not bitter, I secured the boxset in the group buy, I also secured Manta Labs releases too. Not bitter. But situations like this provide thought provoking conversations which may or may not lead to better situations in the future. It's less than 24 hrs since this all occurred, its still relevant conversation

Just fyi guys, the person who developed our marketplace has just developed a fix for the issue we've seen with high demand and low quantity numbers. I'll be looking to test this new feature in the coming week(s) and @Wreck has mentioned chatting with a focus group of members to develop some more procedures and policies for high and in demand group buys. In the meantime we'll take other steps to mitigate the risk of allocating a potential low quantity incorrectly.

Lots of things to discuss, but if there is one thing I think we do well around this forum is to learn from past mistakes and issues and continue to strive to make them better.

Thought this quick update might help some folks that have been disappointed with the group buy experience.

Thank you!

I sent a email to zeta yesterday asking if they are adding more and I got this back this afternoon

Dear Customer
We are very sorry, all items are sold out at now,we cant provide anymore.
We will relist some unpaid order when we get the final quantity, but we cant promise that.
Thanks for your support.

Thank you for trying to improve the experience on HDN continuously.

I'm curious to see the algorithm which can regulate the problem when demand is greater than offer :)

Well i have one of those unpaid orders. I got only 1 boxset, and for some reason there's 2 different order numbers, and first one says "PAYMENT SUCCESS", another says "PENDING"... So i don't know what to do.

Well it depends on if you want 2 box set one clicks because it sounds like you defo paid for 1

Maybe there’s more unpaid orders than we think because the site was so slow people were panicking etc

It would be nice to get a double lenti to go with BvS but then I don’t have suicide squad and no guarantee I’ll like or get their man of steel so no biggie

Maybe ask them to update their server. That site runs like a sloth on a molasses slip 'n' slide.

The way I view it, when there is a Group Buy that is very high in demand and low quantities Allocated, there should be a Group Buy for ''Premium Supporters'' only.

I think it would only be fair with 30 copies for a group buy per edition(for example), where the group buy is hosted on our HDN forum, that those copies would be allocated for Premium Members only(which of course would still not be enough to satisfy everyone but at least it would give a fair chance to those who truly support HDN).

The other site has a VIP system for Blufans releases and I don't see why not it would be wrong to have something similar/but different. When it is such low quantities, to do an HDN Group Buy for Premium Supporters'' only. People just come here and create accounts, do not give back to HDN and just take the copies away from Real Members here that should have a go at it first and just leave afterwards to their other forum somewhere else. I am not talking about Group Buys where the quantities would be fair for all to participate, but when there is only 30 copies per editions, I see it as just fair that they would go to members who call HDN their home.

Technically Kevin doesnt use the VIP system on the OABs though which always have the lower quantities for his GBs so its still a free for all just like it would be here.

While I can see where your coming from I don't agree as it very much depends on what you mean by 'Real Members' I would consider myself a real member (fnar fnar sorry I'm a child too!) but it is rare that I post that much anymore but I am more often than not lurking in the background, there are many more non premium members that are way more active on here than I am so would probably be considered to be adding more to the community ;)

Then you would also start getting into the how long have you been premium nonsense because let's be honest anyone can become premium with a simple one off payment!
Where do you go from there? Those have been here the longest get a 10 second head start, then the next lot and so on?

I've been coming here for 5-6 years I think and I just can't agree with being elitist like that with something from a retail store, besides I quite like watching the bloodbaths long may they continue :D

(and yes I did miss out on this but am still here)

If lurking new members want to upgrade to ''Premium Supporters'' to be able to participate in the very low quantities and hi demand Group buys ''that would be made for ''Premium Members'' only, I don't see the problem in that. They paid the fee to become premium members so they would be eligible, it's as simple as that.

Did we not have this before with novamedia batman vs superman. I think a point system might be great. 1 point for every steelbook purchased by the GB.

Did this go live for the group buy at the same time as the main site?

Didn't try myself but keep seeing people mention it in other threads.
