BEVERLY HILLS, CA – (December 13, 2016) The groundbreaking anime film Ghost in the Shell arrives on Blu-ray™ + Digital HD with limited-edition Mondo key art in collectible Steelbook packaging from Anchor Bay Entertainment on March 14, 2017. The groundbreaking anime celebrated the 25th anniversary of the original Manga in 2014. Directed by legendary anime director Mamoru Oshii, Ghost in the Shell questions human existence in the fast-paced world of the information age, this award-winning, cyber-tech thriller has established itself as one of the leading Japanese animation films of all time.

A female cybernetic government agent, Major Motoko Kusanagi, and the Internal Bureau of Investigations are hot on the trail of “The Puppet Master,” a mysterious and threatening computer virus capable of infiltrating human hosts. Together, with her fellow agents from Section 9, they embark on a high-tech race against time to capture the omnipresent entity. Seamlessly merging traditional animation with the latest computer graphic imagery, this stunning sci-fi spectacle challenged the boundaries of mainstream animation with detailed artistic expression and a uniquely intelligent story line. Veteran director Mamoru Oshii skillfully creates the ultimate anime experience in this futuristic masterpiece based on the groundbreaking comic book by Masamune Shirow.

All these in hand pics are making me a little upset that I never tried to secure a copy. It looks WAY better than the UK release steel that I bought (and admittedly still haven't watched. Yeah, never actually watched Ghost in the Shell)
Both are awesome, but this one is a bit more, simple:thumbs:

It's still available from Amazon $24.99

It cost me €38.36 and that includes shipping and import fees deposit

Yes, absolutely. You should be able to use your UK amazon account to login.

Just be aware that some folks have mixed results when getting steelbooks sent from the US to other countries.

Hmmm yeah, if packaging is anything like U.K. amazon, I wouldn't trust it for a cross-the-pond trip. If I do go for it, may ask for assistance from an American Ninja

Anybody get a copy with wrinkles or creases on the cover?
Can't tell if it's the shrink wrap or the slipcover. The shrink wrap is on pretty tight so it doesn't move when I try to push it around. So the wrinkles or creases don't move. So I can't figure out which it is. I haven't opened it.

From Amazon.ca. By the way, the price rose from $32 Canadian to $43 Canadian on Monday.

The slips have a plastic film on underneath the shrink wrap, so that's why you're seeing wrinkles/creases. Nothing to worry about! :)

Thank you for your reply!

Just so I understand correctly, The hard plastic slipcover has a film over top of it? And then the shrink wrap was applied over top of that?

Thank you Noodles and apsmith21 for your replies.

I just want to ask if either one of you received a copy or heard from somebody that did, that had the same look?
And if you or they opened it up to confirm this was the case?

Thank you again.

I'm not sure if mine is somehow different but I opened it and there was no film on the slipcase.

Any chance yours is just placed on really well? I've had a few Mondo steels where it looks like there's no plastic film because it's really smooth, only to realise that there was a layer of film after carefully picking at the edges. On the other hand, I've had some with loads of creases etc too.
