You say that, but didn't you guys over the pond also get the matte finish for the first Elm Street 4K steelbook? :naughty:
Premium finish actually meant matte and they just had Bob with a can of gloss to spray each steel, why do you think they delayed the release for so long.

Only 200 first units will be fully gloss due to shortage of varnish, following 50 gloss only applied on Krueger's knives... and with all remaining units being matte finish or, as we like to call It in our circles "European fashioned trend". Oh, and units will not be delivered based on ordering first but following the ancient rule "last ones will be first" :naughty::naughty::naughty:

Yo I can finally get back into the forums!!! (Been giving me a white screen for the past week)

Anyhoo, ain't got a clue what kinda finish that is from the vid but I'm hyped as hell to get the entire collection in 4K!

You know what, I think, in my opinion, it doesn't matter what the finish is. Black steels look a bit naff in either matte or gloss finish. They can look streaky with matte, but it's not the first time that I've had a glossy black steelbook which looked awful in gloss with all its circular, fine scratches. Blufans Wreck It Ralph springs to mind. Both sets will have their own advantages and disadvantages. Great that the US set has no blu rays, so brings down the cost, but great for the rest of the world who don't have a 4k set up, and so, can enjoy the blu rays. I just look forward to watching these in 4k and be in a lucky enough position to be able to afford one of the sets.

Thats pretty cool they're doing this but still discs are always better. I honestly cant stand streaming quality sometimes. They label it as 4k but with frame drops and glitches lol

I have a siro gigabit internet connection (1000 Mbps downloand and 200 Mbps upload)
4K on Apple TV 4K is very good if you have a good internet connection
It's very rare I get any frame drops on my Apple TV 4K Box

My finances have improved a lot by reducing my spending on Physical Media
I often can get 4K films digital version with extras included for €4.99/$4.99 and often get bundle of films for €9.99 to €20.00
Example various warner 25 films collections in a bundle for €20 and lot was 4K or later upgraded to 4K for free

I was previously spending over €4,000 a year on Physical media purchases
I now spend less than €1,000

4K Digital Version on iTunes can often have Dolby Vision while the physical media release will be HDR 10
