Koch Media has lined up a six disc (!!!) Ultimate Edition of Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness for release 26th April

Details are sketchy at the moment but sources reveal that the following will be included

The FULL Director's Cut (sourced from the same print that MGM used on their Hong Kong DVD release with the missing shots absent from the US DVD. No VHS sourced extra footage here!)

The US Theatrical Version

The European Theatrcial Version (differs slightly from the US one)

and the rare Extended TV Version (containing additional footage not seen on ANY home video verson!!!)

Well, I've pre-ordered mine too.

Dont want to miss out on this. Especially with the raising hype of the upcoming reboot. :movie:

I wish Universal (in USA) have the ability to release such similar Ultimate Edition (in Steelbook) prior "Evil Dead" 2013 Theatrical Release. :(

I just watched the HK MGM Dvd and the picture is inconsistent. The windmill scene for example has some very poor special effects shots that I think will be very tricky to clean up.
I've never heard of Koch and I really hope they have the ability, but they've definitely got some work to do to make it look good in HD.
