Plot: A young paramedic is paired with a seasoned partner on the night shift in New York revealing a city in crisis. Discovering the chaos firsthand, he is tested with the ethical ambiguity that can be the difference between life and death.

An excellent, but very heavy and dark drama about the stress of working as a paramedic. I missed films like this for the last 25 years since Bringing Out the Dead and Broken Vessels - another couple of lesser known 'twin movies', they even had same looking posters with huge blood-red crosses.
This one doesn't have any ghosts or drug problems, more about realistic horrors of the job, and that suicide rate amongst EMS workers is higher now, than police deaths in the line of duty...
Really happy to see Sean Penn, we need more of him, he's great here, and I'm glad there's another movie coming soon with him about a taxi driver.
