My order is still there but i might cancel anyway as i'm not impressed with the pictures i've seen think Zavvi maybe bit off more than they can chew and the lentis are crap.

Yeah I cancelled soon as I saw the pics. I don't like or collect the German style lenti's and only wanted this if Zavvi had done it properly with a full lenti slip. I'll wait for the Nova version and hopefully somewhere down the line a Blufans version. Quite happy with my HMV version for now

I wonder if more than 4k were preordered, so they are cancelling the people who have more than one ordered. Or if there was a manufacturing fault so they are reducing the number they are selling from 4k to 3k (or however many were produced), a la the Disney classic steels.

Mine was a single order and I've seen others with single orders on another forum have theirs cancelled as well. I've read loads on here have cancelled before this debacle and twinned with people having orders cancelled because of payment problems/ not being able to shift them on ebay as pre orders, I'm thinking it could be that they oversold on Zbox.

Well i just had another look at that photo of ricsters steel and that lenti is S**t
So i've cancelled mine.
I'm in the group buy for the Nova one anyway so will wait for that.

Wow Zavvi didn't even have the heart to tell it was cancelled. It's just been removed from my Order History outright like I never ordered

The only time I ever get an email that my order is cancelled is when I request it myself

We still not seen any unsealed photos yet of the steelbook
I ordered this for the steelbook itself regardless of any lenticular as that to me is only a minor extra and as its a lenticular magnet its removable

The steelbook has a border which means it most likely has embossing

I still await to see fully unsealed photos showing front/back and inside

Im happy enough to wait for this fiasco to be sorted and hopefully receive my steel.

Im not the biggest fan of the Nova version as i think the front artwork is too busy and it clashes with the back art imo.

This one will do me fine. I love the german lentis so im fine with the way it is plus im saving up for a mortgage at the moment so my other half would kill me if she new i signed up for the Nova version

@paulboland i think the Steelbook border is debossed to keep the magnet in place, like Life of Pi and others. I would love it if the title was embossed but I expect it to be flat underneath the magnet.

Thats well and good for you but i can assure you i sure as hell didnt request this to be cancelled as i wanted this to add to my collection.

Zavvi have messed up on this big time and no doubt will lose a lot of customers over this fiasco

I know there are a lot of frustrated people here but there must be a rational explanation. I know Zavvi dont compose themselves professionally but perhaps one of the mods can find out what is happening.

The lenticular its a magnet all it needs to be kept in place is metal

We wont know for sure until its unsealed
For me all that matters is the steelbook
I'm not bothered about a removal lenticular magnet its a minor extra if I like it I will keep it on the steelbook it don't I will remove it
The most important part to me is the actual steelbook and its artwork and Blu-ray discs inside
