Saw some decent bands in the 80's/90's/early 2000's before becoming disillusioned and started focusing more on movies. Smaller, more intimate venues definitely top my list of the best ever for me personally with a couple of standouts.

Oh I didn't know. Either way I thought The Blair Witch was unbeatable in this category due to sheer luck and time.
Someone should tell them this trick can work for any type of film, not just horror.

it always comes back to the writing - do i care about / what happens to these characters?although the outlays are much more significant and the returns aren't anywhere as high as the horror films, here's some sci-fi examples that show a good script and engaged actors can make all the box office difference against a low budget:

Favourite film this year so far. Absolutely incredible. It don’t feel right seeing the Blumhouse studio graphic at the start it’s that good. She’s my favourite performance of the year. Just an outstanding intensely awkward film that pays off the way it should.So hyped for 'Obsession'. Let us know your thoughts

Taking my Daughter to see Backrooms after her college today. Can't wait. Decided to skip Obsession with her due to the content. Backrooms will do nicely.

I put it in the crease of my hat and my spliffs in my socks when going through security but only retrieved my spliffs after walking through. Mol must’ve dropped out. But everyone had it so it was all good. Broke my phone that day too. Great gig though. Last gig about 20 of my mates & partners went to together which is depressing. This was the AM tour too so just before that sh!tty hotel concept album when they were still phenomenal live and still had that Monkeys spunk! Royal Blood and Tame Impala opened for themOnly just read this. That's too funny.
