The obvious answer is because it looks ****ing awesome!
If you haven't noticed, Arrow specialise in B-movies. They don't go for your standard movie with standard artwork. I'm guessing you would've preferred the favoured Steelbook 'heads' design, something like this:

Big Trouble is no B-movie. And arrow don't specialise in b-movies, I'd say they specialise mostly in cult films, which Big Trouble could be called as it wasn't too big a hit in it's day. Pity, it definitely deserved more success.

I will buy this from the cheapest place possible,hopefully arrow do the same as they did with invasion of the body snatchers...i hold massive hope that at 11a.m on friday they also announce the burbs,would a steel be asking too much?
I think ill hold out for another store, well, pretty much any other store will be cheaper i think.
Not to the UK. For some reason when you go to checkout it shows £3 p+p, but when you enter a UK address that disappears
£3 international shipping then? £16.99 would still work out cheaper than Zavvi!!
Arrow are making an announcement of their December releases tomorrow, should be up on their site then
Guessing that'll include The Long Goodbye too...jeez, hard to keep up with Arrow of late! Still have Blow-Out on my 'to buy' list then they go and announce Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, Big Trouble In Little China, The Long Goodbye, Cinema Paradiso...then there's Koyaanisqatsi and Withnail & I in the new year! Up against new releases, plus new Eureka and BFI releases, I'm gonna have to pick and choose. Koyaanisqatsi is the big one for me out of all of those.
I'm hoping, though, that the steelbooks will go down in price again in the future - I stupidly missed Blow-Out when it was £12.99, but I've got Lady Snowblood, Battle Royale, King Of New York, Demons and Time Bandits for under £14 each in the past. This has an excellent design, I love Carpenter and Russell, but I tried to watch the film once and wasn't in the mood. Plus I have Bodysnatchers on pre-order anyway. Maybe get this in the new year, but I approve of the updated design! Would've got this if they hadn't reverted Bodysnatchers back to the first design.
