I asked Wreck was there a new version of this on the horizon a few weeks ago (as I wanted to buy the DE version but wasn't crazy about it) and he said he hadn't heard anything.

Good job I didn't go ahead and buy the German one. This will do nicely now!

Now this wave might be 19.99..quality & design needs to be better if they want to increase the price

Seems to depend on the studio. So far the cheaper steels are the best ones! Warner manage gloss and embossing for 15 StudioCanal give us matte for 18

But also WEA and print run drive up the price. Personally I'd rather have a normal 4k run and better finished steelbooks.

Looking at the amount of bare steel it does make me think is the philosophy for zavvi steelbooks nowadays 'use the panic of ultra limited run to ensure we can sell out the cheapest made steelbooks as possible'

Agreed, and add no additional dvd, digital copy either.

That's why I have stopped buying, artwork is not that impressive, all things point to no, WEA or not.

As much as I love watching Craig Fairbrass deliver quite possibly the best line ever in film (right before being offed)...I can't justify £20 on this.

The problem for Zavvi is that these 'ultra limited' titles are only selling out in record time because they are different from the norm. If 2000 becomes the standard, then the situation will eventually be no different than when 4000 was the standard i.e. they will require big discounts to shift the stock.

Zavvi strategy for selling out now and getting mucho dinero as possible for a limited run rather than 4000 units and a sale 2 day later. That ship has sailed.

It is funny to watch all of these limited runs being quickly sold and then put on fleabay and no one is buying as another reason they also sell quick upfront is that folks think they are going to reap a quick cash in...
