Yes folks...take Stallones silhouette and add some mountains and now you got yourself a steelbook cover. Must've taken no more than 5 mins to make. Next to Sin City it's one of the worst covers of the year.

I assume it's due to licensing rights that they cant use an actual image of Stallone so they took the next best option.

Zavvi reduced the price about a half hour after it originally went live. It's been at that price since.

Im not, I think its got to the stage now where anything, regardless of its design, or the film itself will sell out because its an 'ultra limited print run' its amazing what a bit of hype can do even for the poorest products...

I for one am happy with this situation as Id say my steelbook purchases in the last 6 months are down 70% on last year the sheer amount of mediocre releases has killed it off for me so Im now happy to pick up the odd one here and there, im saving a fortune.

I SERIOUSLY thought that back was fan-made, just for laughs! I wasn't hugely impressed before but thought it was at least nicer than the old title-misleading HANG ON amaray. But now it's horrible. Having that slogan on the back looks so random and the little guy inside is purely comedic.

I don't believe this is sold out by a long shot. It's the new marketing ploy of zavvi. Create a fervour of a ULTRA limited run to get you thinking you MUST have this and then over the next few weeks create a mindset that you missed it when it initially got released and then put the rest up a while later so that you think you must have it this time.

It is quite clever and this is zavvi bread and butter so their marketing people came up with this on how to shift x amount of units (say 2000) at the highest price possible rather than 4000 units which go on sale a short while after release.

In fact, the minimalist design was the only saving grace. You could accept it wasn't fantastic because it was going for a certain simplistic style. But adding stuff to the back just highlights that it's not minimalist, just poorly designed.
