Thats Zavvi for you NO logic . Lost faith in them flower . After this feasco and others each time another chance .

Nope no more . Infuriating veried reponces that clearly have no idea how to organise a pee up in a pub.

The Steelbook itself Zavvi at its best . The problems with the keyrings and missing orders Zavvi at it's worst .

Yep same here.. I was buying from them for years without issue turn all of a sudden I had problems with 1/3 or sometimes 2/3 purchases.. and they're a nightmare to deal with, hardly buy anything from them these days.

Got dredd from the hut, but I didn't bother to get in touch with them in regards to the missing keyring cos there were so many people here offering up the status of the missing item. Really happy to know people have started receiving them.. mine hasn't arrived yet, if it doesn't come this week I'll send them an email:)

I hope my keychain is not delivered by MyHermes. They are the worst delivery company in the UK. If you miss the delivery there is NO way to rearrange OR collect directly from them. They will try 3 times at whatever time suits them and after 3 failed attempts they return the parcel to the sender. Thay really are the SCUM of the courier companies.

Only had a few deliverys from them . Worst one was threw the parcel over the gate stright on top of the Rabbits house . Lucky for me the parcel was not hevey and they couldn't eat the plastic it was in.

Like you said no one to complain to NO come back at all.

That's all we need - unnecessary wasteful packaging which will bring about another set of problems for the 'lucky' recipient as the box is clearly too large to fit in a letter box.
What will happen if you are out ?

If it's being delivered by Hermes, I'm guessing they will do what they do with all my packages that are too big for the letterbox

A) leave it on the doorstep in full view of everyone who walks past my house

B) stamp on the parcel, fold it/bend it until it's small enough to fit, then ram it through the letterbox

Consider yourself lucky that they do even that!!

That's some pretty bad experiences.
Luckily, being holiday time, more of us will be at home than at work . . . hopefully ?

I had a similar lack of contact problem with DPD with an Amazon order - I was out and missed the delivery. Tried several times to contact them directly to re-arrange delivery without any luck. Gave up on that and contacted Amazon directly to sort it out which they did with in their customary excellent fashion. I even requested p.m. deliveries in future and so far this is exactly what has happened.
I'm not saying that contacting Zavvi's customer service will bring about the same result though . . .

I'm not laughing at you, but I couldn't help but laugh as I done a very similar thing years ago when i was a courier.

Before people give me crap, hear me out.

Years ago it was very common to leave parcels in a "safe place" it was a regular practice back then. But I was always considerate where I would leave things.

But this one customer was always ordering catalogue goods and was NEVER in. Most of the time the parcels were a box and some weight to them and as they had an open porch I never felt it was safe to leave them. So in turn I would have to take it back out on my route as a Redelivery up to 3 times, and guess what, NEVER home. Needless to say this used to give me the hump.

One day I had what was clearly clothes, which was a pair of trousers. I was up to my eyeballs in deliveries and thought, stuff it, I'll throw it over the back fence, it's not like it's going to break or anything right? I will admit I threw it with some venom and carded the door to say where it was.

End of the day, I got back to the office, and the depot manager questioned me about the delivery, I told him what I did, and I said, why was there a problem?

With a big grin on his face, he then proceeded to tell me that the customer had complained that I threw it over their fence.......... and landed in their swimming pool!!!!!!!!!![emoji38]

I had to laugh, but at the same time understood that it would of pissed them off.

Moral of the story, some couriers give the majority a bad name, there are the idiots, but most are considerate and let me tell you, one of the most exhausting jobs going. You imagine doing up to and around 150 deliveries a day, I kid you not, and that can carry up to 300 parcels, and then do your collections after that! It's a thankless job, and I'm glad I don't do that no more.

That's what most people forget, that the people delivering their goods aren't some peons. The same people probably treat the workers at McDonald's like crap.

The problem with Hermes is they consider the customer receiving the goods as a nobody and WILL NOT SPEAK TO YOU AT ALL!!!!! They only deal with the sender!!

Certainly good to see both sides of the coin and thankfully as a good neighbour myself blessed with equally good neighbours on either side I've never had the same experiences as some of those listed above...yet.
