I'm not laughing at you, but I couldn't help but laugh as I done a very similar thing years ago when i was a courier.

Before people give me crap, hear me out.

Years ago it was very common to leave parcels in a "safe place" it was a regular practice back then. But I was always considerate where I would leave things.

But this one customer was always ordering catalogue goods and was NEVER in. Most of the time the parcels were a box and some weight to them and as they had an open porch I never felt it was safe to leave them. So in turn I would have to take it back out on my route as a Redelivery up to 3 times, and guess what, NEVER home. Needless to say this used to give me the hump.

One day I had what was clearly clothes, which was a pair of trousers. I was up to my eyeballs in deliveries and thought, stuff it, I'll throw it over the back fence, it's not like it's going to break or anything right? I will admit I threw it with some venom and carded the door to say where it was.

End of the day, I got back to the office, and the depot manager questioned me about the delivery, I told him what I did, and I said, why was there a problem?

With a big grin on his face, he then proceeded to tell me that the customer had complained that I threw it over their fence.......... and landed in their swimming pool!!!!!!!!!![emoji38]

I had to laugh, but at the same time understood that it would of pissed them off.

Moral of the story, some couriers give the majority a bad name, there are the idiots, but most are considerate and let me tell you, one of the most exhausting jobs going. You imagine doing up to and around 150 deliveries a day, I kid you not, and that can carry up to 300 parcels, and then do your collections after that! It's a thankless job, and I'm glad I don't do that no more.
I'm also glad you don't work doing that job anymore
I cant print what I would do to you if you did that with one of my parcels :rofl:

Lol, obviously there was no malicious intent, how was I supposed to know there was a bloody swimming pool in their garden?![emoji12][emoji38][emoji38]

Although if you were one of those people who was always ordering stuff and never at home, I may have thrown it on your roof for a laugh!!![emoji12][emoji12][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

My Hut order is 3rd July, and sent 5th August, still nothing :(

I'm sorry to hear that it has still not arrived (n)

If you don't receive it by the 2nd September - which is 21 working days since it was posted - then you can start the refund process.

You're reply sounds like a customer services response , are you going to personally sort out vinnys complaint when he asks you for a refund ?..:woot: only jesting of course....I know what you mean.

..anyway, I await the post on Monday, for my keychain, which by all accounts it seems has been sent last week. I cannot wait, no seriously.....:woot:

LOL. I take your point - it does sound a bit cut-and-dried.
It's just that Vincent is clearly distressed by the non-appearance of his steelbook - we have been corresponding a couple of times via PM and I've been attempting to make him aware that there is nothing the retailer can do about his refund until 21 days have passed as he is based in France.
Maybe he'll get his keychain before his steelbook - it would be nice if he got SOMETHING particularly as some people have apparently received duplicate steelbooks which doesn't seem very fair (n)

Likewise, regarding the long-awaited keychain :)
Please post your keychain number and I'll do the same.

Thanks. The Hut told me to contact them 26th August if I did not receive my order.
Also, it's very boring because it's not the same person who answer the messages at The Hut, and so each one tell something different.

Good to read that they are in contact with you and are addressing your issues - hopefully all will be sorted for you soon
